Who are you?? You don’t say who you are or what songs are Billboard hits. There’s not even an explanation of your background on your homepage. 🤷🏼♀️🤔

haven't been on in a while but what a comment to see first. I'm pretty easy to find on the internet. '15' charted 2 billboard charts including AC mainstream Airplay and 'Never Look Back' which ft Caitlin Evanson (who you should know) and Jeff Schroeder (Smashing Pumpkins). Which is my biggest song. Charted for 4 months on Billboard as well as iHeart Radio's Top 40. if you didn't mean any sarcasm & are just curious, then great. If you did, I would appreciate you being a little kinder in the future. I''m just a nice guy and real charting artist & producer that likes to listen to Taylor and share. - tommy marz

The cursing in Down Bad works perfectly in my opinion. Many years ago I was a ‘petulant’ teenage girl, if the effs weren’t included I wouldn’t feel as connected to the song.

In the clean version, she doesn't just bleep out the curse words, she changes the lines, and the song goes from angry to sad. It works as well.

I've been thinking of this album as a movie. Fortnight is like a movie trailer that has a lot of the elements of the whole album in it. To choose one song away from the others is like asking what is your favorite scene in a movie. I listen to it from beginning to end. We see her say goodbye to her 6 year relationship. She explains the infatuation with someone she knew from the past. She shows several examples from many perspectives of how that went down. We see how invasive public opinion and the stress of being on the Eras tour affected her. We see her move on to a healthier relationship in The Alchemy and a final reflection on fame in Clara Bow. The music is secondary to the lyrics in this particular album.

It gets trolled for just that 1 Charlie Puth line.😢 I blame the leaks and cherry picking lyric tik tokers who makes a fuss about it...the title track and the song I hate it here (due to the 1830's with no racists line) is so misunderstood 😞

I think my fave of these 4 is Down Bad. My reaction to this song is completely opposite of yours. BTW: I strongly suggest watching the lyric video for "I Can Do it With A Broken Heart". Even tho it's technically a lyric video, it could just as well served as a music video. The visuals are devastating in the context of the lyics.

I'm the total opposite to you 😅 Down bad is probably my favourite of these 4: I've had those moments of pure frustration at the world that's only relieved when releasing emotions during exercise, so that song really resonates with me. Conversely, I don't relate to the story of ttpd at all, so it's probably my least favourite of those 4. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of the rest of the tracks! :)

I read that Taylor wrote the song, heard their harmonies in her head, called them and asked them if they wanted to record it. And the rest is history! lol! Which version of the story is correct, I don't know.

i went to the 5/27 show at East Rutherford. as a Rep stan, i almost lost my mind during this set. my pulse was racing during Ready For It? the BASS in person was insane. hearing Dont Blame Me (my fav Taylor song), I had to grab my husbands arm so i wouldn't fall down. the transition from that to Look What You Made Me Do....i CHOKED on my water.
@Koreankimmie9 ай бұрын
Yes! I agree with @ninastays..”Don’t Blame” transitioning right into “ Look What You Made Me Do” very cool! We went to the Eras Sofi stadium night Los Ángeles 3 8/5. They were filming for the concert that night, but also Camera crew were going all around all levels of the stadium inviting fans to jump in and say something for the “ documentary” That night, right before the song “Lover” Taylor was connecting with the crowd and telling us our energy level was a 13/10. Swifties picked up the clue that some thing big was going to happen on. 10/13. Which endedup being the concert film release date. I think something to watch also is a performance that will give you chills. Marjorie in the evermore era set…the song is about her grandma who was as an opera singer. Towards the end of the song she used her grandmother‘s voice. It kind of sounds like an instrument, but it is really cool if you get a chance to watch that.
@sarahjackson28899 ай бұрын
According to Jack, he said she wrote it in Dec 2021. So it was part of the rest of Midnights. She didn’t release it because she’s her and Joe had officially broke up yet and didn’t want all the fans to think there was something wrong and freak out.
@sarahjackson28899 ай бұрын
And the song hits home for me because it perfectly describes the ending of my marriage. It KILLS me. Especially the end when she’s begging Do something Say Something. Because I did that. I begged and pleaded and hoped. I wanted, needed, him to show me he wanted our marriage as much as I did. So yeah this song, it’s like it was ripped from my own heart and soul.
