I love the look of beautiful mature philos. I just haven’t delved too deep due to the moss poles. Moss poles are so unfortunate for otherwise easy going plants.

They are surprisingly pest resistant, not as tough as we think to be honest!

I like the way they look when they are smaller and more shrub like, but in reality, as they get older, they need support/to climb and I don’t really care for the growth habit. I think they loom a lil ugly and bring me less joy so I’ve decided they are no longer good fit for my jungle.

@@Monefsjungle I have noticed some older pink princesses lose their charm as they older. The word scraggly does come to mind. I have a couple of young self headers that I love in their bushy form, though.

Queen your outfits are always fierce! NGL I have been slowly falling out of love with philos(and getting sucked in by the anthurium black hole) mostly bc I hate moss poles so much.

My favorites too Philodendron Micans. I also have on a moss pole and in the same pot Philodendron Verrucosums and Camposportoanums. 👍🏾Video 🪴Happy Planting🌿

I’d LOVE to see you repot your Vechii!! I just bought one recently and would love to see that!! I cannot get my donky tail going, she’s right up at the window but it’s not overly happy, maybe watering too much or inconsistent care 🤷♀️

I got my pastazanum in palmstreet. It is doing good but I repotted it and is having difficult to pick up. I have about 3 Gloriosum, Love them. One McDowell that is growing like crazy. Love it too. I have 3 Summer Glory that are doing great too. All of them are crawlers and they grow like crazy. Love the jungle vibe in my home.

I use Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro and from time to time I add some extra Cal-Mag. I also use Mychorrizae.

Do you use the fiber with the sticks or the fiber that looks more like cocopeat?

I use the fiber withe the sticks although there are some quite fine particles towards the bottom of the bag that look a little like coco peat.
