I imagine there is a kiln where the temperature is programmable, so you don't have to worry about overheating? But hey, your results are beautiful.

This one was made up of high speed steel bar. Not recommended to use since it's way too hard.

OMG... Look. This is probably the most dangerous welding you can do besides MIG on stainless steel.. you do know you are exposing yourself to hexavalent chromium! It's carsonagenic.. 100 %. It will cause cancer.. period! There are companies that won't even let you weld mig of stick weld stainless unless covered in a suite...... For real , before you try this stuff research first . Safety first. I have worked in welding for over a decade with college.. don't do this. Please

I'm AWS D1.1/5.20 "unlimited thickness, 3g4g (all) since mid 2006. I've been ASME years 30 years. Anyway, I've an old MWD (measurement while drilling) brass buckle I've had since '86 that has broke a leg off the buckle. It's a single hook not the common latch. It's a really nice buckle. I am oilfield trash.
