I like how you choose to wear the team colours for your baseball cap. I also wear a Jays hat when riding my Sea Doo in Ontario, but I wear one that's Black, White, and Red, to match the colours of my ski. Have you ever thought about adding a PWC Rescue Sled to your setup? It quadruples the cargo capacity, improves stability, and it makes reboarding from the water a dream. It does mean you need a roof-rack, and it takes time to install, but if you're anything like me, and you want to use your ski to indulge with action water sports and wake-surfing, then it's a must-have. I also tow around an inflatable Stand-Up Paddle-Board behind an AirHead Booster-Ball, which I can use to facilitate moving dock-starts. I specialize in 5-Star Door-to-Door White-Gloves Hospitality. Every serious man should have a proper action water sports liaison kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6Oxp2qObthnlc0

Not sure I have a case to use it yet as I am really liking the new Fishpro I just picked up and the extra space it has. Will for sure keep it in mind as your right I could see how usefully it can be. Hope you have a great off season and maybe catch you out on the water next season. All the best Cheers!

@userman44423 күн бұрын
also what about fish ? how does it taste ? why you don't grill it on your camp fire🔥?
@MarkForrestAdventures20 күн бұрын
Thanks so much have really enjoyed it so far but looking forward to really breaking it in next year! I would not say they are common in all my trips up there that was the 3rd time I had seen a bear and they saw me and were gone so fast I could not even get them on the camera. Yes as long as you store your food properly and I can say that never have I had one come close to camp. I do have a horn that I keep with me to scare them off just in case. The French river is different than like Algonquin where the bears there have learned that people means food. From what I have seen on the French they take off the second the see or hear you so that helps. As for fish they are great and there are some great flavors you can batter them in. I would cook them if I really did need to but I much prefer to catch and release. I just feel the fishing has been over done up there and would rather put them back to catch again. Plus with those camping meals that you just add water they work great and just put it in my cooler and good to go. I am so happy to hear that as that is why I make these videos to show people these amazing places. Well do keep me posted and if you have any questions just let me know. All the best Cheers!

I see they brought you to the Sturgeon River, Canoe Pass, the Gibraltar Pass, Campbells Bay, the Spillway and Little Chaudière dam buit in 1916. Usually with my group we do the Veuve river witch is extremely rustic and wild, Then we do all what you saw plus we go see the First Nation pictographs painted probably around the 1600 with ochre on Kennedy island near the mouth of the Rivière des Français, then we visit the Big Chaudière dam built from 1910 to 1916, the portage dam built in 1948 and beside it the Okikendawt hydro dam built in 2015 which is owned by the Dokis First Nation. Okikendawt means Chaudière or kettle in English due to a nearby rock formation. Not far from the Dokis village there is a big chimney on an island from 1850 to 1906 trading post of chief Michel l'Aigle Dokis who was the competition and the demise of HBC Hudson Bay company which was situated near the mouth of the Sturgeon River. Once past the Little Chaudière Dam we continue to the rustic Hall river at the end of the upper French. When we return we always follow a different path and we never follow the buoys but use isolated path which is more rustic and where the voyageurs actually followed has the main French often has waves affecting canoe paddling. A point of interest is when they built the Chaudière dams in 1916 the lake level went up 7 feet which means the Bay of Cache Bay, the Lavigne area and Oak island area only had about 1 feet or less of water. Also note all of the original dams have been reconditioned in the last 30 years.

@MarkForrestAdventuresАй бұрын
So sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I highly recommend staying in the channel especially from about mid summer till the end of the season as like this year the water levels have dropped quite a bit from the start of the year. But when if you do want to then a good map system like the Garmin or Navionic on your phone is great to have as they have a lot of the Bay marked. I always go with slow in and then fast out. I go into a area slow and pick my way through and then it marks my path on my chart so I know I am good to come back out that way. Last a good pair of polarized sun glass are a must really helps you look out for any rocks and to help pick your way though. Hope that helps and if you have any other questions please let me know. All the best Cheers!

@@MarkForrestAdventures I did not get this notification until now, strange, thanks for the detailed response! You got into some really neat bays outside the markers in this video it just goes to show how much there is to explore when you take the time up on the bay. Next summer taking the right precautions I will definitely try to take a better look around. The only time I left them last year was in a place called Sandy bay, there were some boats in the bay already to it felt pretty safe.
@MarkForrestAdventures7 күн бұрын
Crazy I am just getting these notices today as well. Yes there is just so much to see. The one thing to look out for next year is where the water levels are at. Right now the water is just hitting right at the datum so what the chart reeds. If it drops lower you need to know that when reading the chart and subtract to get the depth. Same goes when the water goes up you can add to it and then that's when you can really get in there and explore.
@greatnorth31056 күн бұрын
@@MarkForrestAdventures Yeah last year when I went up in Britt you could see how much lower the water was. The good thing is the Marina in Britt gets up to date charts from the coast guard since their station is right there on an Island. The charts they give are awesome with the downside being they aren't built into a gps so navigating and memorizing them is an issue.
