My thumb and finger have been ‘open’ and Oozing for around 7 months despite not scratching the area. Have been withdrawing for around 12 months 23 years old only used steroids on and off (months gap in between usage then going back to doc and getting prescribed another course for a week) for 2-3 years previously clear from eczema since age 7. Is there anything I can do besides waiting another year for it to heal up, doctor just prescribed antibiotics nothing more to help?

Given the intensity, misery and longevity of the withdrawal period, do you think there is a certain age above which it makes more sense to remain addicted by continuing application of topicals? If you are for example 20 or 90, the answer might be obvious. But it's hard at, say, 60, to estimate your personal longevity. But assuming that you might have 20 years more, would you really want to risk living possibly 10 of them in the pall of this horribly miserable disease?

This is my first awareness of the concept of TSA. It is truly remarkable that I never saw it this way. The great curse of my life .... I have only ever used topical steroids for short courses, just as prescribed ... twice a month .... for 5 decades!!! FFS. I am 60. I have been through recovered from substance addictions and I have relapsed on many occasions and striuggle to this day. Depression is my soulmate. Listen and you'll hear me loudly slapping my eczematous forehead, this red pill video has come on with a bang, and It all makes perfect sense now. OF COURSE I am corticosteroid addicted ....My skin screams out for it, like my soul for the next hit. How obvious too ...the familiar hallmarks of addiction have been there all along and I only needed this video and this godsend of a doctor to simply point it out. D'uh ... it was so obvious all along, at lkeast it should have been to me. For 60 years I have used cortisone, In fact it was my FIRST drug dependency, pushed upon me as a child. I am familiar with addictive behaviours well enough, through my own experience.; The dysfunctional, avoidant decisions., justifications, magical thinking, wishful thinking, despair, denial etc etc, and all the chaos of corresponding emotions surrounding addiction. They all apply to my relationship with steroids. The dealers aren't so intimidating and SO MUCH EASIER to trust. Unfortunately. Bizarre. I know addiction so well and didn't see what is now iso blindingly obvious. Just goes to show what having a legit and easily accessible supply does to your relationship with the substance, and your image of the dependency you have on it. I bet that steroid dependency has had a greater detrimental impact on my life and well-being, than any of the self-sabotaging I inflicted on my mind and body with illegal substance abuse. In fact the latter may niot have happened were it not for the precursor I was addicted to as a child. Here's a dilemma though ... at my age, the question arises, of course, as to which path to take: 1) going through a torturous ordeal (for which there have been plenty of chances over the decades to ponder the implements of torture). I am led to understand that the ordeal will last an uncertain amount of time, but likely to be a number of years-probably more rather than fewer in my case I fear, having been on this evil stuff for half a century) and then after the years of torture, eventually I experience a merciful release from what has been that constant tormnent that has cursed my life; or 2) keep on maintaining the addiction to steroids. I feel reasonably fit at 60. Let's say there's 20 years left. Perhaps 15 years of more or less reasonable vitality. How many years of hell do I want to endure devoted to curing a half-century old addiction?, Possibly, I could do that. Or maybe just keep on with the last half century's "business as usual" for another couple of decades and accept what happened happened. This new knowledge about TSA somehow liberates me, and I am ENORMOUSLY grateful. I wish I had know decades ago. I wish I had thought about it more carfefully. And now with that written, I sense a knot of emotion stirring deep within, and I also sense it is not at all a happy knot. No, indeed not... not very happy at all. ......

Thank you. It all makes sense.. 60 yo and now it all makes sense. Before awareness of TSA, I started to hint to the doctor. I ask. When desperate, I plea for symptom relief. Sedatives, a sleeping pill, after night's of no useful sleep. But no. Steroids. When my misery is strong and visible, red, weeping and everywhere, the very best option to get some nights of relief is the counter-produyctive short course oral steroid option. I have in desperation allowed my skin to get WORSE, scratched and didn't avoid inflammation on purpose, in order to prompt that option in advance of an appointment. Now I know about TSA I told the doctor, who acknowledged the condition, but as I had only been MOSTLY on mid strength steroid cream, I would be fine he advised me. After using topical creams all my life. I am not fine. Too afraid to even find out what the prognosis is regards how long, or even if, after so many decades I can recover at all 😞

The reason why a lot of people dont sign up with you because a lot of people dont have the money to pay for your help. Going through TSW we already have to spend a lot of money on band aids, wraps, take time off work, etc. And the government dont recognize this condition and are not willing to help us finacially while we go through this. I think a lot of insurance cover dupixent and thats why people go on them. But for the fortunate ones who can afford your help you do help. And thanks. It is sad this system requires a lot of money for someone seeking to get better from their suffering. Your videos did help a lot though. We are very greatful for your videos and work you've done on this iatrogenic disease.

My skin feels at some parts better than ever before. I have some tsw in my armpits left. But my question is, since tsw i have more acne of fat limps in my neck of in my eyebrows, did you witness this with more tsw clients? Why does it happen? And wat cost youre advices per hour? I heard conversations #3 about herpes. You said its not eczema herpeticum, my Dermatologist said that to and gave me antibiotics, but didnt go away. I was sure that it was EH, i tested it at the housedocter lab and it was EH, and my wife had herpes one week after me on a private area. . So im pretty sure that it was EH. One more thing you never speak about is why are we addicted to the cortisonecream, i believe because our adrenal glands make cortisol in an normal functioning body but because of the overdose of cortion the adrenal glands stop working appropriately. Over time they start working again, i was awake for 6 hours every night for 6 months. The last months it was not because of itching, i could not sleep. Cortisol has every thing to do with sleep and cardiaans rithem, did you study the cortisol levels of patients or what is your vision on this? You also mentioned that acupuncture does not help. In some cases maybe not, but in mines it did calm down my nervous systeem and after every session the itch went more and more away, after a period of time my acupuncturist was real and said, i reached a plafond for what i can do. But overall it helped me in months 5-10 for more than 30 procent relief. I had also very big lymp glands i went to a oedeem specialist and they massaged my lymphatic system, the stifnes and swelling went away and it helped me a lot, But as i mentioned before im in month 14 and almost clear, i believe its because of the red light therapy and no moisture threatment. Try it with patients that wants no cyclosporine but only natural healing, let them do rlt every day every part of the body 10 minutes. And try another group of patients and watch the difference. The elephant skin cleared in a couple of months, and i never had any flare anymore. A friend of my in tsw had the some, but use consistently, Please watch TSW_KID on instagram. Can you interview an actual person who tried the therapy in Thailand or the UK? Someone commented here that they did try the therapy and it didn’t help much. Can you interview them and someone who says they were healed? Our young adult daughter suffers from TSW after being prescribed steroids for a chemical burn from a paraffin wax treatment when she was a teenager. She’s currently in a bad flare (from taking steroids recently- hydrocortisone cream to get her through a relapse) and now she’s oozing lymphatic fluid from her neck and is determined to reserve a slot in Thailand for CAP treatment as soon as she saves the money. I just stumbled upon your video but do you also recommend a clean nutrition plan to boost the immune system to heal the skin from the inside out? The CAP expense is actually not that high (@$400 - $600 per treatment I believe is what my daughter researched) but moving to Thailand is expensive and not being able to work while you are in treatment 3-4 months is expensive. Please try to be sensitive to those suffering from TSW in your comments and find someone that maybe you can follow and observe while the person gets treatment either in the UK or Thailand. People choose Thailand because it’s less expensive to live there rather than in the UK and the UK treatment has a wait list currently. I was skeptical but my daughter believes the testimonials and pictures. Please investigate further and expose the truth and thank you for your work.

1) Dupixent TV commercials are on several TV channels numerous times of the day -- not only the 6 pm ABC news. Pharma is spending a lot of money on advertising and, of course, that built into the cost of the medication. 2) Anyone who thinks you should give them a free personalized consultation is not very smart. Ask them if they work for free. You've already given your time with these KZbin videos, the "Skin On Fire" film, your website, etc.

Welp, we went to the derm 3 days ago and she flat out told us my child has severe eczema and she will have this forever. Mind you, I told her my child is now suffering mentally. So why would you say this? Finally, after hearing that for past 10 yrs I told her this is not eczema it's TSW and my child will not suffer with this forever. Not on my dime. Dupixent made her worse. I even said I work in healthcare too, and know about the kickbacks to force a drug. She chuckled and said you don't have to take it. Me: I know but you'll refuse to give me a script for cyclo or LDN to help get her through this process. Doctor: what's LDN? That's only prescribed to opioids patients. Me: no it's not only for opioid addiction, it can be used for many conditions because it helps regulate the immune system. Doctor: you can't believe everything on the internet!!!! I darn near wanted to scream. Me: well do you'll treat TSW, Doctor: yes, me: okay, well may we get cyclo? Doctor: well I have to ask the doctor and call you back. In conclusion, we left with samples of Opzelura!

@Bret.2274 I'm not a doctor so I may not understand your comment. Are you saying your child has had TSW for 10 years? Was your child using topical steroids for 10 years? If so, when were they stopped? Have any other medications been used to help with symptoms such as those for itch, burn, sleep or are you asking your derm for cyclosporine before trying other meds to take the edge off. Also, since a derm (dermatologist) is a doctor, it's strange that your derm "Doctor" said she would have to ask the doctor.
