My 29 year old son has been going through TSW for the last 6 months. He had excema since he was a baby had been using Trymasinalone ointment for years and no one told us about withdrawl. He also tried Dupixent 6 years ago and had a terrible reaction with his eyes. He's now suffering terribly.

@@Paula-pm1fv no no - hang in there is not therapy to allow you to function - you need good medical care with symptomatic medications, a little psychological help and cyclosporin if not functioning in life - you cannot just throw away years of your life

@bigwavebobby Can you give a summary of your withdrawal? I believe you said it was 5 years and I'm curious to know how long you were dry/shedding and had nerve pain. When did you start seeing normal skin in the tsw areas?

Hi! Can you explain why ciklosporin only works at 300mg dose? I've been on it for about a year and can confirm it only works when I'm at 300 mg/day. If I lower it to 200mg/day it's like I don't take it at all.. 200 mg and 0 mg / day is the same effect and I don't understand why, so can you explain this please? Thanks

It tamps your symptoms down about 85 to 90%. It's not perfect skin, but much relief . A game changer. Time is what heals it. Like he says 3 to 5 years.

Hello Dr. Rapaport! Unfortunately, they wrote about systemic corticosteroids, not topical ones. Doctors know that systemic needs to be reduced slowly. Most likely, people are switched to systemic steroids before Dupixent to suppress RSS and then start Dup.

@JulijaMlakar I responded to your comment and it disappeared. I responded again, similarly to the first time, and it disappeared again. Something very disturbing is going on here. It was about topical steroids, as well as systemic steroids, being mentioned in the literature.

Question, is Calendula safe to use? Curious as it is listed as a natural steroid. But that’s different from a corticosteroid right?

@@jerredclarke7887 it is safe and it is not a steroid. The liquid dries the skin and the emollient traps heat. I tried everything but cold Turkey helps. Less is more at this point. I am in my 16th month, how far are you?

@@jerredclarke7887 one important thing if using liquid do dilution is must do not apply directly it burns. I trust Dr.Rapaport and following his advice and seeing the difference. He is spending his majority time in awareness of steroid use instead of taking easy and relaxing.
