Nah, I'd rather actually USE the product for a few weeks before making this video. Otherwise, feel free to go watch a video made 15 minutes after the M4 Pro MacBook was announced and tell you nothing but what specs it has 😂

That’s because it’s difficult to convey how effective the nano-texture display is via a KZbin video. It’s recorded through a camera lens, hits the camera sensor, is color graded, rendered, and then uploaded and compressed via KZbin. So sometimes the blacks will look hazier/more washed out than in real life. If everyone is raving about a feature, it’s usually a good feature… I encourage you to buy both, test side by side, and then form an opinion like I have to see the differences. You’re also forgetting to mention the fact that all of the side by side tests you see are in super bright/reflective environments to exaggerate the difference. Sure, maybe the matte screen looks “hazier”, but at least you can still see the screen clearly versus the awful reflections on the glossy.

I have a matte 32" 4K display I use with my PC. My room has black walls. The shades are usually rolled down. I prefer soft low-light. And still, I can sometimes catch a reflection of myself in the monitor. I can't imagine ever wanting a glossy display.

Cant compare videos with real life experience. There's a video by "ArtIsRight" who measured the color accuracy and contrast of both displays using Calibrate and the Nano display not only achieved the same results, but even better ones than the glossy. Colors dont look washed out in real life and text is maybe 5% less clear, something you wont even notice unless you have the devices side by side. But in contrast of that 5% less sharpness you get 90% less reflections and a lot less eyestrain, since you dont need to crank up your brightness so much in order to combat reflections. I never have my display above 40% brightness, even right next to a window. Its insanely good and I would never go back to a glossy screen.

That’s my experience. I got the 14” m4 pro MacBook Pro and while portable I missed the 16” as I traded in my 16” M1 Pro MacBook Pro. I exchanged it for the 16” m4 pro MacBook Pro and it’s so much nicer to use as the display looks just right especially with resolution more comfortably. Also the weight wasn’t that much different! The 14” is still pretty chunky. The speakers are so much nicer too on the 16” and battery life as well.

You already have the answer to your question mate I'm going for 16 inches for the Macbook Pro because the fan noise will be noticably so much quieter than the 14 in, if this helps

@saulgood2366 I was interested in the 15 mba as well and it’s very thin and nice but the screen is not nearly as nice as the 16” and the speakers as well. But I do like the price but I want the m4 pro instead of the m3 as it’s the perfect time to upgrade.

The Space Black anodization color has only been available for about a year. It’s still too early to say how less durable it may be compared to silver. That being said like I displayed in the video, it shows wear and tear and dirt/grime easier than silver.

@@CreatedTech Serious question have you had a PC build before and if so how does it compare? Secondly, have you used many plugins in Dananci how does it handle stuttering while plugins are active?

@@Z3Chosen1 I've been building my own custom gaming PCs since 2011 - currently have an RTX 3080 and 13900K. Not really comparable as this is a laptop and that's a desktop PC. Editing performance is overall better on Apple silicon Macs IMO compared to PC. I don't use a huge amount of plugins on Resolve so couldn't tell you.

I have a M3 Pro space black since a year and I can see very small scractches from what I would consider a usual use with a MacBook Pro which is a productivity machine and so goes in and out of the backpack 5 days a week, is moved from a room to another in the house, etc. But look and feel is also important for a device that we spend A LOT of time for few years, so just need to pay a bit more attention than with the silver. Also, you’ll need to clean the outside and inside more frequently on the space black. I wish they would have brought back Space Grey which was the best of both worlds in my opinion

Not if you work in bright light locations otherwise yes waste of time. Also maybe not the best for photography.

There's a video by "ArtIsRight" who measured the color accuracy and contrast of both displays using Calibrate and the Nano display not only achieved the same results, but even better ones than the glossy. The nano displays more real colors, while the glossy is a bit oversaturated.

I’m still using the Torras case - holding up very well so far!
