Having the Errax with close combat option, not as an offensive activation, but as a defensive for your long range heavy hitters could be good. No fun trying to flank a warlord with your warhounds if small knights swarm you from their backlines. Extremely cheap and a good activation bait imo.

They didn't realize an army box for these? I bought the Mechanicum one (unopened) so all I need are some spiderbots?

Can we get a similar breakdown for the loyalists? I haven't played a whole lot against mechanicum yet, so I'd love any extra insights.

I had no idea these were a thing for AT. I'm pleasantly surprised that they are not as expensive as i thought. 4 Serperos for £25 from Waylands (or equivalent) seems quite reasonable. My Mortis might get some new toys, the first since the before times of Pre covid.

I’m also going Stalker heavy, but I would say don’t overlook the Taghmata options that Dark Mech can also take. The Karacnos is a nasty tank that can lay down some great firepower, Thralls are technically trash but with no Morale they can be a pain to shift, and Thallax are surprisingly good. Also, you can take Ursurax in a Terror Protocol Formation to save those Harpax for the Swarm Formation.

10:19 A maniple of one is a curious idea, but I’m sure it won’t happen (quite apart from the rather hopeful idea of new AT specific rules!) because all but 1 of the new LI maniples that are based on AT maniples only have a compulsory configuration of 2 Titans. Axiom is the only one that needs all 3 in line with AT. Still, some kind of mechanism to bring a Warmaster inside a maniple would be great!

For the Serperos, base detachment of 2, take two upgrades of two to get the full 6 for cheapest points?

Sorry for your losses. Condolences, and I hope 2025 is better to you and your family. The titan slot is a nice way to add a warlord with all Gatling blasters, which I feel is a nice anti-tank/anti air platform for a pure mechanicum list (obviously very expensive though).

just checked, legionbuilder supports upgrades to size of 9 for the dark mechanicum detachments

I love the Mechanicum stuff but it has the same inherent flaw that I think plagues it's HH version. Bubbles. Everything is bubbles. I want to take the cool stompy robots but it's just they need constantly babysat. This would be less annoying if they were insanely powerful but they aren't. They need to find a better rule than synapse because I just spend my games with the tape measure on the board.

Excellent discussion. From the Fast Attack I like the javalins for an extra unit to dig infantry out of buildings, plus the Scimitar Jetbikes for the 20" move and fire in the movement phase. Being able to move so fast they are great for reacting to how the battle is going and threatening backfield and midfield objectives the opponent thought was safe.

Play narrative. Its fekkin awesome. Stuff tourny meta math hammers.

Personally for me the Warhound is S tier, but I have a full size FW model so I'm probably biased.

Great video, really interesting with the placement of a couple of the tier picks. I would've plonked Honourum into A, with Ignatum and Fureans into S personally as with the other S tier legios, you Know exactly which legio you are facing from across the table without a double take. Apart from that, i'd go with the majority of what you said here. oh and thanks for the mention 🙂
