Original Epic actually began in 1988 with the original Adeptus Titanicus set in the Horus Heresy. They released Space Marine the following year in 1989 which was also HH only. It wasn’t until 1991 that they released Space Marine 2nd edition which was 40K based.

They did mention that the AT terrain will all be coming back under LI plus additions like ruins to that range. Did some measuring on the tiles based on the base sizes. Look like 12” x 12”. Tye gun barrel in the picture is from the Leman Russ Vanquisher. I am sure there Primarchs will be crazy overpriced resin kits.

looking forward to LI, will allow me to fulfil my dream of a full day of revilation drop pod assault angels army :D Would also be nice to see some of the TMG models shown off and how their stuff goes together. if its not super popular for people to learn a new ruleset then an alternative is playing massive games of heresy and change the ranges to cm and use all heresy rules.

Maybe at 6mm not at 8mm it will cost you a fortune. I have a full Salamander chapter at 6mm and thats a lot of kit in a small space.

Here's hoping for the forge world knights to go plastic. Would love to run armigers and stryx just can't justify getting a few from forge world

Armigers would be a great move to plastic, they are almost prohibitively expensive at the moment for what you actually get

I just can't see AT and LI staying separate...eventually they will fold them into one.

I personally can’t see that happening, they are very different games. What you get and can do with AT Cant be replicated with what you can do in LI on more than the most superficial level. What steps GW take at this point to support both games who can say, but for now they have committed to keeping them both alive.

If the new game was anything other than 8mm, it would have been a huge mistake. I would have stayed away. I just got into Titanicus, barely in time, as the models dry up on ebay. Still, new Titan models are years away I think.

The models will be back, they are just being stockpiled and repackaged. AT will always have a place as well. It will take a lot for LI to be a better game than AT!

@@HandofBlake i cant see the game persisting too long sadly, unless they do things like make the custodes craft plastic and release more imperial navy stuff i get the feeling AI will become more a token addition sadly rather than properly supported. Im hopeful to be proved horribly wrong though!
