Imo worst to best: -Severin Manor -Breezehome -Vlindrell Hall -Honeyside -Hjerim -Proudspire -Dawnstar buildable -Morthal buildable -Falkreath buildable I really don’t like Severin Manor at all, looks terrible from the exterior, can’t move kids or non solsteim spouses in and it’s the only house where you can’t get a housecarl. Plus let’s be real solstheim is by far the worst location in game to live, even if there was an option to do so I would not make my kids move to that hellscape.

Theives guild is easily the best. Not only is the questline the most engaging, it’s also the only one that actually feels like it develops in a meaningful way. The ratway basically becomes it’s own town by the time you’re done.

Whirlwind sprint is a quality of life shout when you are doing commerce in town and are encumbered

Tundra homestead is by far the best in practicality, storage, armor and weapon displays

this video is 3 years old but ill add my opinion. the worst has to be lockpicking imo. the skills dont add much of an advantage in any part of the game even as a thief build. the easier picking barely makes the locks easier past adept, and why would I give a point to unbreakable picks when I could just speedrun the Thieves Guild and not give the skeleton key back?

My least favorite is the manor in solitude but the hearthfire build your owns are my 2nd favorite behind Breezehome. The reason proudspire manor is my least favorite is the pricetag just for the barebones home itself. Ive gotten it before but its the only one id regret. Harthspire has one thing going for it the secret hidden coffin you can have in the basement. I play vampires pretty much 9 times out of 10 and even that 10th is likely a vampire anyway. My favorite tho is breezehome due to the ability to do commerce in whiterun. Between the spouse and 2 blacksmith shops one of which has 2 merchamts, belethor , and the huntsman most of which conveniently located its the best early / mid game making getting to late much less a chore.

1-people like proud spire manor? it's always been so cramped and narrow, and combined with the price it left me just annoyed. 2-people hate breezehome and honeyside? Maybe I'm biased because riftin and whiterun are two of the only cities I actually like but Breezehome is my go to, sure it's small but it's nice and quaint, and serves as a good base until you can build those damn hearth fire homes

Solitude not having a smelter drops it significantly for me, especially playing in Survival modes or with modpacks that restrict fast travel. Whiterun is always going to be tge best because it not only has everything you need for crafting and such, but it's dead center of the map.

If you want an unconventional build for you for a restoration build I wanted a special forces combat Medic Primary magic is restoration. Alteration to boost your magic Resistance. Light armor boosted to the maximum 3 giants. Pounding on you all day your restoration in your right hand you should be untouched. Maximize shield 2 handed. Use 2 handed in combat Use shield while using restoration friends

In my opinion, Teldryn Sero is the best follower, because the man has so much personality, along with his ability to decimate opponents with ease.
