The options to extend lease for a further two 30 year terms has absolutely no legal standing. Possibly whoever owns the land at that time will release it to you, I.e. you pay all over again. However, if you have built and maintained a nice house on the land, your release option will be declined and you’ll loose the house. Legally you will not be allowed to remove the house from the land or alter it or demolish it. You will go to jail if you attempt that.

We paid 4.6 million. There are two other houses in our complex for sale listed at 4.9 million and 5.3 . Please see our other videos on these. House is it The Valley One Cha Am.

Yes this was one of the 2 floating markets we went to over 10 years ago. So nice to see it all done up. Loved the train and boat ride all those years ago too!! Don’t have to be a kid!!🤣 A visit when we come. Is the other one still opened?

A belated Happy Birthday to you Linda 🎂🥳. I've checked out Hua Hin a couple of times previously as a possible retirement destination. On my last visit in September, I happened to drive through Pranburi on my last days of my trip. It seems like a lovely option for those who prefer a more quiet place to live compared to Hua Hin. If possible Chris and Linda, could you please show some rental options in Pranburi town and beach areas? Keep up the great videos, they're not only entertaining, but informative as well. 🙏

This is not correct and is a very common misconception. I have added a couple of KZbin links that you may find helpful. Please take careful note that foreigners cannot own land in Thailand - not even a small "share" of land - under any circumstances. There are absolutely no restrictions on owning a house. @@Irelandspeculativepodcastshow There is another house down the street that is not yet completed that is up for sale. And they are continuing the complex at the back. We are in a very quiet area so there are no more housing estates in our immediate area as yet. You could look at Hua Hin itself as they are always building pool villas. But from our experience they are a lot more expensive.

Thanks again for watching and your kind comments as always! The shower filter lasts around 6 months. The water cooler cost 4,650 baht from Thai Watsadu. Please note the water cooler does not filter the water - you have to use the 18.9 litre drinking water bottles which cost 14 baht per refill (bottle swap).

We bought a new house with our own pool. As yet it isn't a gated community. We did however look at many houses in complexes if you want to browse our past videos. What we found with a used house is that you inherit everyone's used furniture as well. You also don't know what needs to be repaired. At least with a new house you normally get a five year warranty if something breaks. And you can decorate it to your own tastes. Hope this helps.

We do prefer Cha Am as it is so much quieter. We still have the option though of driving to Hua Hin when we feel like we need a bit more excitement. 😁

Didn't see any dogs around this homestay apart from the owners little dogs. There is probably some around the beach but they won't bother you.
