Should be using the 3 in 1 oil for fan motors not the regular 3 in 1 oil. The fan's electric motor has to be taken to properly oil the fans bearings.

Just wondering if this dude is a Van Halen fan haha. The red tool box with white and black strips is on point.

Hey Dale, yes VH is my band. That tool box was my fathers and it was really beat up and I knew I couldn't get it back to a factory finish. So, it was a perfect candidate to look like Eddie's beat up Frankie.

Hi Steve. So I did fix it using your helpful suggestions. But, now, my fan is knocking as it rotates from the fan wobbling a bit. Any additional thoughts on how to make this stop? Thank you!
@SteveCarmichael2 ай бұрын
Check to see if a blade is bent and hitting something. If so you could bend it back. If the motor is making a noise, I don't know how to fix that. Not long after I fixed my fan, it stopped again so I just bought a new one.

Nice design. Looks a little thin on the printer, have you had any durability issues? I'm printing one now and will find out for myself but would love to hear a review with some age on it.
@SteveCarmichael2 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks! I printed two of these and still use both of them connected to stationary tools. Sometimes I disconnect one and attach it to the floor wand, but it slides out too easily unless I tape it on, but it's rare I use it for that. A design change to solve that would be good.
@burntsilverado2 ай бұрын
@SteveCarmichael printed it. Came out well in just over 2 hours. Was a little loose in my hose but a few wraps of Teflon tape solved that. The working end fits attachments very nicely. It even felt stronger in my hand than I thought it would. Used esun pla+ because I plan to keep it outside in texas. 9/10 Good work! I'm thinking about trying the remixed version with barb, but he changed the design and in my opinion made it weak. In slicer you can see it only has 2 walls on the straight part. Will try soon and let you know. Thanks again.

Hmm, not sure what you clicked on. Click this link www.thecarmichaelworkshop.com/2013/11/tongue-drums.html and scroll to the bottom where it says "Helpful Tongue Drum Links" and click the link that says "Download My Free Tongue Pattern Templates". The PDF should open if you have free Adobe Acrobat installed. (The Wood Magazine plan is not mine, so it's not free if that's what you tried to click on.) Thanks and have fun! Steve...

How long were the dry wall screws. You can tell I am a novice at this carpentry stuff.
@SteveCarmichael3 ай бұрын

Just bought the plan and reviewing the video. I assuming you are using glue besides the wall board screws?
@SteveCarmichael3 ай бұрын
I didn't use glue on the 3/4" parts. I like the option of taking it apart and changing something if needed. Also, if I ever don't need a project anymore, I will often take it apart and use the wood and screws for something else.
