Thank you so much for this video! I am trying to see if BJU press would work for us internationally where we are requiered to show grades/report cards. Do your children get a report card in the distance learning program? Or would I have to enroll my kids in the AHE? I World really appreciate your help. Also, how long does a typical morning take to finish all required work?

Homeschooling is child abuse. I’m a survivor. If you want to know what really happens to us, talk to any of the millions of kids who survived homeschooling and are now adults dealing with lifelong trauma and developmental issues. There’s a reason you almost never see adult homeschooling survivors subjecting their kids to this. Most of us would rather die than let this happen to anyone we love. I volunteer in a group that helps survivors and people currently trying to escape and there are DAILY posts by suic*dal kids as young as 11 who are DESPERATE to get out. If any kids are watching this video and feeling hopeless, please know that you can survive this and eventually move on. I’m living proof.

You just don’t know any, plus it wasn’t as big as it is today then. I’m homeschooled and graduating two grades early, I’m in three friend groups, and I’m not being abused.
@Urfav_brunette718Ай бұрын
Homeschooling is absolutely not child abuse I guess in extremely rare cases. I’m homeschooled and I’m way happier than I was in public school. Honestly I think homeschooling is way better than public school because I have way more socialization than I did in public school. 1. Public school is 7-8 hours long homeschool is only 2. 2. There are bullies in public school. 3. Kids smoke and do drugs in public school. And if people think “I don’t socialize”. I take sports 3 times a week, Homeschool meetups every week, and church twice a week.

I actually found your channel because we are using BJU online for our first year of homeschooling. I dont know if you have this same takeaway but for my 6th grader its a lot of work. Coming from public school she has struggled to get the work done and doesn't understand the videos as well. We went with this option because i have a 7 month old and a 2nd grader as well so i wanted to ease myself in. I want to switch next year to something that is a bit more flexible so we can actually explore and not be so strapped to the computer. I would love a cirriculum comparison video :)
@wholetthekidsout18 ай бұрын
Yes, it is a lot of work. I quickly cut down the workload due to student burnout. We are no longer using BJU, but it filled a need for my sanity for a period of time. :)

I enjoyed your video. Just subscribed. I’ve been interested in sonlight for years but can’t succumb to the cost. We just started spelling you see and we’re using apologia general science as well. Our 7th grade daughter seems to like it. What made y’all decide to use it for 6th grade? How does your 6th grader do with it? We also use easy grammar. Love it too. I also have a channel with tons of homeschooling content. It would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

My good friend has been using Sonlight for years. She tries to covert me every year. This year, I bought her curriculum from last year for $100. (She gets hers used too) My 6th grader is enjoying so far. I'd love to be friends! :)

To be fair, there is a difference between knowing a subjected and being an expert in a subject. Plus, can't you hire tutors? Unless you have a PhD in all of the subjects you're gonna teach him ofc.

Why the fuck would someone want to be stuck with their family all the time? So kids lives must revolve around their families? You actually want kids to grow up hating their families. Familiarity breeds content.

The Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants you in heaven. He died for our sins, got buried and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Believe it and you will go to heaven not hell. Doing good works CAN'T get you to heaven (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).
