Would highly recommend! We have plenty of friends playing this with their partners and having a great time. Might be biased but we think it would make a great Christmas gift 👍

'Children of Morta' deserves a spot on this list! The shared-screen co-op experience has my girlfriend and me HOOKED - there's something awesome about being able to team up with controllers on PC. & the family dynamics and roguelike progression keep us coming back every evening.

Seeing just one POV of co-op gameplay for 2.5 hours is meh, would be nice to switch between POVs each stage or something

We’ve looked into it, unless we had our own studio with a streaming room it’s pretty hard to pull that off.

You guys said RoR2 is controversial because of one bad DLC in an otherwise overwhelmimgly positive game while recommending Endless Dungeon without even saying a single word of why it was a huge flop and why it got so many bad reviews.

I was hoping for more games to play wtih kids but there was no Mario kart, Sack boy, Unravel or Lego games. It takes two is awesome though.

This game made as much sense as a Days Gone LEGO game. Should have made Sackboy Lego Adventure instead.

My wife and I quit like 2-3 hours in. The game was too shallow for adults but seemed like it would be too simple for kids. Even for a Lego game the humor was shallow and I hated what it did to Horizions brilliant cast and story. This game was a terrible terrible concept! Why didn’t they just do a Little Big Planet Lego game….would have made sooooo much more sense!

Cuz Sony has dumped a ton of money into horizon and if a kid likes this game now they’ll grow up and keep buying horizon games for the PS6 and on

No, it adds the trophy list for the couch co-op player but they don't unlock any trophies, only the player that launched the game.

@@TheCoOpBros I also think it is a fine family friendly co-op game. Our whole family is into the Horizon franchise as my daughters had watched me play the original game few years back and now I (along with my wife) get to watch them play. The strongest critique I have for LEGO Horizon Adventures is that Aloy doesn't sound like Aloy even though it is the same voice actress (Ashly Burch). The other characters sound authentic to their main game voices. We all feel it, but its fine.

I'm in the same camp. My 9 year old daughter has been playing Roblox and I've been out of gaming for the past 7 years. This is a great couch coop that meets in the middle for both of us. Definitely comes up short for adult gamers, but we're having a good time. Cat quest III will be up next if she's down for it.

Can't believe another great looking mecha game is single player only😢 From Software didn't made AC6 coop, didn't bring any of the old AC games to current gen, and mechabreak is also SP. Synduality or something like that, is my only hope for a current gen mech coop.

Awesome list, guys! Playing with friends online is my favorite activity by far, especially since most of them live far from me, I'll definetly link them this list! Meanwhile, you guys should check out Lost Castle 2! Still in EA, but I think there's a lot of potential there!

Stolen Realm is a great turn-based RPG game with a roguelike mode for up to 6 players and the upcoming Stolen Realm survivors is a good suggestion too but I think that's only 4 players. Another suggestion is Vellum a 1-4 players game with magic tomes and The Spell Brigade which is a 1-4 players bullet hell game both unique for those that love magic roguelike games.
@ghostderazgriz
@ghostderazgriz 11 күн бұрын
It's hard for me to recommend risk of rain 2. The gameplay feels stale in the late game. The "builds" are just races to see how fast you can break the game. Once you have enough automated drones abilities destroying everything the character you choose in the beginning becomes meaningless. Not what I would call a satisfying coop experience either as most of the time my teammates actions are inconsequential to progression.

You guys should try Astral Ascent ! It's a 2d platformer roguelike with beautiful pixel art that works wondefully in co-op. It also has quite a deep story with voice-acting. Youre essentially fighting the 12 zodiac signs in order to escape from a space prison.

Yes!!! My roommate and I have already sunk 98 hours into Astral Ascent, and they are adding more content soon. It's a shame it's overlooked so often.
