I've been waiting for the next gen Pajero Sport to be released to upgrade my PS but after seeing this video I may just take the Tank 500 for a test drive. Looks an amazing vehicle. Although the black grill definitely improves it.

I am staggered when I see videos like this. What is the rationale for using utes and big SUV's in Australia? We have a 6.5m caravan (2,480 kg gtm) and we use a bog standard Volvo XC60 D4 inscription ( 2.0 L diesel, air suspension, 8 speed ZF auto). We average 12 L/100 km fuel consumption while towing (approx. $200 per 1,000 km). Why would anybody tolerate spending $500+ per 1K? It's mind boggling people are so stupid. We never struggle sitting on the speed limit and we never struggle with stability or safety. Simply amazing the excuses people use for using fuel guzzling, highly modified shit boxes. I'd rather do it in comfort and luxury and save money to boot.
@SavageTechAustralia6 күн бұрын
No offence intended, but the Volvo XC60 is simply not designed for off-road tracks-it's a completely different category of vehicle compared to the Tank 500. The Tank 500 is not only more capable off-road, but it also offers a much higher level of comfort and luxury. Having owned over 30 European cars myself, I can confidently say the Tank 500 is in a league of its own when it comes to combining capability with refinement.

The DMO platform is super capable for offroading. If you are serious about offroading, wait for the bao5 and bao8. Hopefully BYD bring bao8 with Huawei ADS. only dreaming

Everyone has different needs for a Ute. If your a serious off roader, don’t buy a Ute get a live axle patrol or landcruser nothing will beat them off road. But for me this does more than enough. Compared to my old Ute now, it’s bigger, heaps more power, can plug in my fridge in the back or even a coffee machine. Can’t wait to get one specially after test driving one myself.
@SavageTechAustralia6 күн бұрын
@@jonaqua8850this is so true there are also better off-road utes like a twin locked cannon alpha. But they have other weaknesses. The Shark will be perfect for 90% of the people wanting a ute.
