I don’t mean this as a severe criticism, but the experiences described here, feel very nuanced by pretty privilege. I was aware that I was gay at age 5, I had a dalliance with my best friend at age 13, but I did not have a boyfriend until I was 32. I tried, and I tried, but my luxe, and my extremely skinny build left me rejected by everyone. The common phrase that men said to me was, “No pecs, no sex.” I realize that this is a video about relationships, but in Atlanta in the HIV scare, my body (which, yes, I tried to improve-I ended up looking pregnant and skinny) was a perceived signal of disease danger. I am not HIV+, but I couldn’t even get guys to talk to me. By the time I was 32, no dates, but I met a guy on AOL. He was thin too, and we dated for a few months. I met a guy at age 34 who is now my husband. We’re well matched intellectually, but sexually I am uninterested. I felt I had to accept a friend rather than a traditionally defined husband. This makes me sad for him because I drive this, but I just can’t do more. It’s like we’re a couple in our 70s but we’re decades younger. Anyway I mentioned pretty privilege because I didn’t have advantages of the attractive in my youth and therefore couldn’t meet men. Once I was losing my hair and efforts left me alone, I was worried about not being appealing enough ever. I decided to marry an extremely good person who shares values and interests. But I’ll always know that the physical is absent, which makes me sorrowful for both of us. I get it that my limits with him are sort of like how men rejected me in the 80s and 90s. But those men rejected me wholesale without permitting me to be a human. I fully accept my husband as a wonderful human, but I limit him in a way that must me hurtful as well. It’s cliché to say this, but I learned that the homely and skinny don’t deserve full happiness.

Devon I was in a four year relationship and we split. I then met the love of my life and was with him until October 2022 after almost forty years together he passed away. You are a beautiful person and I vote for embracing the gray.

I was born and raised Mormon, went on a mission and left after 13 months in the middle of the night, proposed to a Sister missionary I met on my mission in the temple, got married in the temple had 3 kids, and was married for eight years. I could tell you boys some intersting stories. It was on my mission I realized God has a sense of humor and likes messing with me. I confessed to having gay sexual encounters during my mission interview with my Bishop(the man has not shaken my hand since then) I had to see the Stake President and a General Authority before I was approved to go. God's sense of humor came when as a gay missionary my third area I was sent to was the gay section of Chicago. Sorry I got wordy. I love watching you guys.

All four of my kids are older than you two. My oldest grandson is only 8 years younger than you two. I hate it when I refer to someone as old and find out they're younger than me.

At my age my outdoor adventure would have to be Clamping. If I had to sleep on an air mattress I would never get off the ground in the morning. When I was young my buddy and I would go camping up by East Canyon and go fishing.

I have children that have totally different political views we just chose to not talk politics. We got a long better that way.

Salt Lake is a beautiful place to live.

I started following you two after seeing you on PJ and Thomas' channel. I was born and raised in Salt Lake. None of the places you visited where there when I lived there. I used to work downtown across from the Mountain Fuel buliding on 100 E. and 100 S.. The city has certainly changed since I've been away. I look forward to watching more of your videos, I live in Ferron Utah and get up to Salt Lake once in awhile, I will have to try out these places.

My first crush happened when I was 12 years old ( I am currently 16) and it was on a girl that I new very well during that time. I didn’t understand these feelings and it felt very uncomfortable for me to talk about it to anyone. I eventually went to the Internet for help with my feelings and emotions. I am still questioning and I am only out as gay to my very close friends. Me and this girl don’t hang out anymore after she got the hint that I was gay and she was very against that. My parents have no respect for me now that I have gotten closer to telling them about the true me. I still think about this girl and how I felt towards her but I know I should move on. I have not dated anyone with the fear that I might get with her some day even though I know it probably won’t happen.
