I use a PS3 to stream tv and would use dollar store batteries until I tried AC Delco and the AC Delco seemed to last much much longer. I just picked up some Duracel Optimum batteries on clearance for cheap so we shall see how they compare.

question, if i have one bad sensor can i disable it and clear the codes so the light will stay off ?
@CleverFix9 күн бұрын
No, there is no way to disable a sensor, It has to be fully working for the light to turn off.

I noticed that Duracell Optimum had higher voltage for 2/3 of the test and only came down to match the Rayovac at 2/3 in. If higher voltage output is needed up front it seems that one might fit the bill.

@CleverFix17 күн бұрын
There are two rubber small round stoppers on the left and right side, are those still there? If they're not then the box will bounce around. Pause the video at 0:04 and it's to the left of the arrow and down a bit, close to the corner of the box. The left one is not visible in the video. Also, is it engaged in the hinge properly?

Too bad Autel got rid of "Copy by Activation" and Manual input in a firmware update. Those are basic functions of TPMS tool. That makes this tool useless for me.
@CleverFix17 күн бұрын
Here's the manual that comes with the TS508: www.maxitpms.com/u/cms/www/201804/TS508_Quick%20Guide_V3.pdf . You likely have the TS508WF which doesn't have those functions: www.maxitpms.com/tpmscms/u/cms/www/202310/TS508WF_quick%20guide.pdf

For Manual ID input, the TS601 is still available and it has the option: www.maxitpms.com/u/cms/www/201906/MaxiTPMS%20TS601%20User%20manual%20V2.0%20EN190614.pdf

im confused about the difference between the "copy by obd" function and the "manual input" arent those essentially 2 different ways of cloning?
@mhikeybalatbat15 күн бұрын
@@CleverFixim still seeing the option to manual input oe id into the mx sensor for the 2025 version of the 508wf
@CleverFix15 күн бұрын
@@mhikeybalatbat They are both a way to program an ID into an MX sensor. Copy By OBD retrieves all of the IDs that are already programmed into the car's ECU, and then the wheel position can be selected, then that ID will be programmed to the MX Sensor. Manual Input allows any ID to be programmed to the MX sensor using the on-screen keyboard. Hope that makes sense.

So the fuses inside are the extras?
@CleverFix19 күн бұрын
The spare fuses are labelled "SPARE" on the diagram. I show them at 3:59 .. By extras you mean spares right?

I really like your videos and I REALLY wish you'd spend a couple seconds showing what's underneath a removed part before reassembly. Example, you remove a door card but don't show what the bare door looks like. You removed the cupholder but I cannot really see what it's like underneath. I'm trying to insulate my Corolla and I want to see if it's worth removing some trims and if there's pre-existing insulation in there.

Can you connect speaker wires directly with connectors instead of keeping the OEM harness? THX
@CleverFix22 күн бұрын

So, my dishwasher sprang a leak at the valve as well. My big question is should I call the insurance company because the water soaked into the floor under the cupboard. It also dripped down into my basement above the furnace room? Will allowing it just to dry be okay?
@CleverFix24 күн бұрын
From what you're describing, it sounds like you need professional advice. A water restoration company might be able to help you assess the damages. Keep in mind though, that the insurance should be notified in a timely manner, as indicated in your policy, if you decide to go ahead with the claim.

Hi, may I ask, I presume the crossover is in line but where is it. That is, is it from bass driver to tweeter or vice versa?
@CleverFix26 күн бұрын
The crossover is built into the tweeter, same as the original tweeter. The wires go to the tweeter first, and the harness adapters splits the signal to the speakers as well.

Hey will this work on a 2017 Corolla LE? It has key insert to start not push. I’ve never done something like this before do you think I could do it if I follow your instructions? Or is it better to save and pay a professional? I did fix my corroded speaker wire based on your instruction and replaced the car stereo!! I love your channel so much.

It's best to use the proper speakers, in order to mount them properly, and to have good sound. If they don't cover the hole completely, it won't sound good. Maybe you can return them?

@CleverFix28 күн бұрын
There's a junction block that's just above the interior fuses. The fuses go into the block actually. I show it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHLNZGiKgKyEircsi=f9gT-SFUttpcl2LW&t=82 It's not called "instrument panel" block, but it has wires for the instrument cluster going through it.

This has been very helpful, thank you. I had to change out the 4 wheels and belt to fix a grinding noise. Unfortunately, when I put everything together and I turned the dryer on, the drum couldn't turn and there was a burning smell too. There is friction somewhere, I just can't tell where exactly. Must be the belt or belt tensioner, or the front wheel alignment. Any suggestions?
