What about deturgent sheets? I specifically use Sheets Laundry Club free and clear for my normal clothes. I'd like to use them on the cloth diapers as well if possible. I've also considered just hand washing the cloth diapers using the washboard method. Can I use a DIY soap based wash if it's all done by hand?

Me & my husband are both stuck between the example of the all in 2 “snap” insert and the pre fold with just a liner. Does the snap connecting to the liner really make much of a difference? I can see it holding in place but it doesn’t seem like a huge difference from just laying it in the liner, wouldn’t it not move around if the liner is snug to baby? I hope that makes sense, maybe there’s another reason the snap would be best for some people! Please help lol a little lost

Did you ever film a results video for synthetics??? Also, what about lanolin? Im hearing in CD fb groups that its ok to use as diaper cream, that it doesnt cause repelling. But that doesnt make sense since its used to lanolize wool.

Mama Koala 3.0: Suitable for babies with sensitive skin, prone to diaper rash, and parents who want to use diapers with good odor removal properties.
@ClothDiapersforBeginners7 ай бұрын
The 3.0's are great. I wouldn't say they are MORE great for sensitive skin than most synthetic pocket diapers, but definitely on par with any other higher-priced synthetic pocket diaper on the market. For odor removal and such, a good wash routine will keep most cloth diapers clean and odor free, so no worries there. :-)

But you never took in to consideration of the Laundry cost to wash them per load.
@ClothDiapersforBeginners7 ай бұрын
That cost depends A LOT on where you live, how you get your water, what type of power your washer runs on, etc. I've surveyed the audience before, asking them how much they think they spend on these things and the cost is cents not dollars for most. It's all included in the written article here: clothdiapersforbeginners.com/saving-money/how-much-do-cloth-diapers-cost/

Can i use flannel cotton for liner?
@ClothDiapersforBeginners7 ай бұрын
Go for it! It won't have the same "stay dry" effect though. Cotton will feel wet when wet, and hold it against the skin. For cleanup purposes though it will work just fine.

How do you strip diapers and which parts do you strip if a pocket and how do you go about with all in one
@ClothDiapersforBeginners10 ай бұрын
Hi @janimaritz3869, here's some instructions on stripping diapers: clothdiapersforbeginners.com/washing-cloth-diapers/how-to-strip-cloth-diapers/ You'll want to strip the whole thing using a stripping product that can be measured properly (like RLR or GroVia). Why do you want to strip them?

FYI bleach is ineffective for killing bacterias in hot water. Use cold water only. Also don't let it soak for hours, definitely not overnight, and don't use it in your routine. The problem with bleach is that once it's on a fabric it will eat it away. So small dose, no soaking and lots of rinse. But eventually you will get holes. There's disinfectants for fabric without bleach in Europe, kills 99.9% bacterias and viruses and are made for using in your washing machine. I don't know if it's sold everwhere else. In France it's called Sanytol it's super popular
@ClothDiapersforBeginners7 ай бұрын
Why would anyone be soaking in bleach... overnight... and so often it would cause holes? No clue what Sanytol is (would love to know the ingredient) but from the science I've seen, fabrics need bleach to kill bacteria and viruses. Hard surfaces are a different story though.
