What's the big deal with killing these mercs (freelancers)? They're being hired by criminals to kill a Turian who is trying to do good, I just don't see the problem here - they are criminals as well, the very cheap ones (500 credits). They're not innocent, those poor little freelancers would kill you in a heartbeat with no f's given. lol

Also when you finish every mission getting a new squad member talk to Kelly she has psychological insight on them. Talk to Zaeed he usually has something to say about missions and crew members. Also Joker has things to say after missions. Zaeed is a DLC character which is why he doesn’t get cinematic talks, sucks cause I think his character is pretty cool. The genophage was to offset the population growth of the Krogan during the rebellions, they were able to replace losses at a faster rate than the rest of the universe. So no matter how many Krogans died they were able to make up those losses while the other races couldn’t keep up. The worst thing about the genophage isn’t only the crash of birthrates, but the cultural impact it had on the whole species. They lost hope and no future. There is no right answer about its use in the past, but now after a thousand years is it time to let them recover?

The noise on the hammerhead is a known bug, the original ME2 game didn't sound like that.

The Krogan genophage is an example of a theoretical & existential question that sci-fi is best equipped to present. It puts you in the moral conundrum of "do you genetically interfere in a sapient species very evolution or do you wage war for an unpredictable amount of time that will cost an unimaginable amount of lives?" You may think the answer is easy but it never is.

I want to give you a piece of advice (without spoilers) regarding how ME2 in general works as the game has 3 situations that are outside your control. sort of "ready or not, here we go" type of scenario Right now you can do a few missions, maybe a loyalty mission, but eventually the game will force you into a mandatory mission. Then, the game opens up, you have more recruit missions and loyalty missions open up for everyone, but eventually a 2nd mandatory mission will appear. Then an "aquire reaper IFF" mission will appear, make sure to AVOID the mission like the plague, leave it for last, Overlord, lair of the shadow broker and rescue dr amanda kenson are missions that you can do even post game, but recruit and loyalty missions should be done 1st before you go and do the reaper IFF. If you ignore this and do the reaper IFF (which is also a recruit mission), the game will take some time to install the device on the normandy, this time is often used to do the loyalty mission of the squadmember you just recruited (if you want to recruit him that is), but since you rushed the mission the reaper IFF will be installed when you least want, activating an emergency mission that you'll have to choose: Option A: You do the emergency mission unprepared, few squadmembers, few loyal, so something along the lines will fail, imagine choosing a leader for a squad and all options being unloyal to you. Option B: You keep building your team, but since the mission is urgent, the outcome will be less than desired. To pick option A in good conditions, leave the reaper IFF for later.

Sure, ME2 looks slicker, and the combat is somewhat better (not as good as ME3), but it isn't a better game IMO. Think it's the worst of the 3 overall, still a really good game but lacks the heart of ME1 and the impact of ME3 (despite the controversial ending). Won't get into all the problems with the final decision in ME2 because of spoilers and because the actual mission is great fun. And don't get me started on the whole Cerberus issue ...

Your question about why Krogan are looked down on is history, they almost wiped out the rest of the Universe, I mean they used asteroids to destroy entire Turian colonies, the genophage though cruel was the only way to save all other species from extinction. The better question is after 1,000 years of the genophage though cruel, is it time to let the krogan grow? Is the universe ready for the Krogan population to grow? So there is a bit of racial tension with the krogan, as there is a lot of unfair blatant racism towards the Vorcha. Vorcha didn’t get got develop a more stable society, they were discovered and used as hard laborers for mercenary groups and high risk jobs, because of their appearance the are disregarded as lesser than all, yet when a job on a dangerous planet needs to be done, Vorcha are recruited.

These upgrades are not only for Shepard, they're for the entire squad. 55:12 You must avoid the red fields when hacking - these are firewalls that reset your progress. Using the arrow keys is the way to go for this hacking minigame btw. 2:10:13 No romance loks you out of any other romance. The only point in the game a romance gets locked in and the others are disabled is the Point of No Return. At every point before that you can even break off a romance you already started and pursue someone else - provided you already lirted with them too. You can build up all possible romances to the point where you tell them you want to be with them and then start one romance. If you want to change the romance you can even do that by telling the person you changed your mind and pick someone else (the romance you left will become unavailable at that point). When speaking to Kelly always ask for the How the Crew feels option - that's where she has new dialogue, not in the investigate options.

In this game you'll hear rumors, speculation, unreliable narratives (think Harkin at Chora's Den), misinformation, etc. Information is ascertained throughout the game, sometimes contradicting what you've heard, sometimes confirming it and sometimes elaborating on it. They did a masterful job building the world in steps and stages. All will be revealed in the end (well pretty much all). Re: saving the Council, aside from the good will, you're saving more lives in the end at the cost of more alliance casualties. It's the smarter move, but less emotionally satisfying. Bear in mind, the Council did for the most part support you, they just didn't support your theories regarding the Reapers (you don't have a lot of hard evidence, just a few witnesses). This is shades of gray, not a black and white choice. People get too caught up in "they didn't believe everything I said". And don't say finally to serving on the council, we got an embassy quickly (usually takes 100 years+) and have a seat on the Council after just 26 years. We're killing it! lol

18:39 The Geth Plasma Shotgun is by far the best shotgun in the game for distance. It doesn't shoot like a shotgun in a wide burst, it shoots three plasma rounds that travel in a straight line. You can snipe people from across the room with it. lol. Also don't forget to buy the T6-FBA couplings, you need those for a side quest from your engineers on the Normandy. Also also at 21:08... yeah, it's a meme in Mass Effect, Shepard can't dance. You'll see it more throughout this game and into ME3, the whole crew jokes about it. Lol.
