The Krogan genophage is an example of a theoretical & existential question that sci-fi is best equipped to present. It puts you in the moral conundrum of "do you genetically interfere in a sapient species very evolution or do you wage war for an unpredictable amount of time that will cost an unimaginable amount of lives?" You may think the answer is easy but it never is.

I think you actually missed the conversation option, that would have triggered the Garrus -romance. Because he's totally datable.

Give Garrus some time, plus there are still possible opportunities with upcoming squad members 😉😉😉. Your first notion of Jack being the next Kaidan was a bit off 😂. Also when you finish every mission getting a new squad member talk to Kelly she has psychological insight on them. Talk to Zaeed he usually has something to say about missions and crew members. Also Joker has things to say after missions. Zaeed is a DLC character which is why he doesn’t get cinematic talks, sucks cause I think his character is pretty cool. The genophage was to offset the population growth of the Krogan during the rebellions, they were able to replace losses at a faster rate than the rest of the universe. So no matter how many Krogans died they were able to make up those losses while the other races couldn’t keep up. The worst thing about the genophage isn’t only the crash of birthrates, but the cultural impact it had on the whole species. They lost hope and no future. There is no right answer about its use in the past, but now after a thousand years is it time to let them recover?

A tip in regards to scanning: Each planet has a "richness" value. Don't waste probes on scanning planets that are not Rich or at least good - you'll not get man ressources from the poorer planets and there are more than enough Rich planets to give you all the ressources you need (as a matter of fact Rich is the most common scanner result). You should also buy Miranda's ship upgrade as soon as possible because it increases the speed of planetary scanning. Why do you call Jack "they"? She's one person, not several, and she's a woman so she's not a "They", she's a "she". 2:59:16 That's not exactly it. Think about the time scale: The Krogans had a technology about the same level as real life tech in the Cold War in the 1960's- only that their war didn't stay cold. When the Salarians found them they uplifted them from that tech level to a spacefaring civilization. Soon after, about 2000 years ago, the Rachni wars ended with the Krogans exterminating the Rachni. Between the Rachni Wars and the start of the Krogan Rebellions lie 300 years of Krogan expansion; the Krogan Rebellions themselves began when the Krogan forcefully annexed the Asari colony Lusia and lasted for more than a hundred years. The First Contact between the Salarians and the Krogan and the development and deployment of the Genophage are divided by about 600 years. PS: Don't forget to talk to Joker after every mission as well and to walk by to see Ken and Gabby - they don't have new actual dialogue, but they'll often comment on the situation as you walk up to them.
