18:39 The Geth Plasma Shotgun is by far the best shotgun in the game for distance. It doesn't shoot like a shotgun in a wide burst, it shoots three plasma rounds that travel in a straight line. You can snipe people from across the room with it. lol. Also don't forget to buy the T6-FBA couplings, you need those for a side quest from your engineers on the Normandy. Also also at 21:08... yeah, it's a meme in Mass Effect, Shepard can't dance. You'll see it more throughout this game and into ME3, the whole crew jokes about it. Lol.

These upgrades are not only for Shepard, they're for the entire squad. 55:12 You must avoid the red fields when hacking - these are firewalls that reset your progress. Using the arrow keys is the way to go for this hacking minigame btw. 2:10:13 No romance loks you out of any other romance. The only point in the game a romance gets locked in and the others are disabled is the Point of No Return. At every point before that you can even break off a romance you already started and pursue someone else - provided you already lirted with them too. You can build up all possible romances to the point where you tell them you want to be with them and then start one romance. If you want to change the romance you can even do that by telling the person you changed your mind and pick someone else (the romance you left will become unavailable at that point). When speaking to Kelly always ask for the How the Crew feels option - that's where she has new dialogue, not in the investigate options.

This game was largely inspired by "The Dirty Dozen," a WW2 movie where 12 convicts with life sentences were recruited to carry out a suicide mission against an impregnable nazi stronghold in exchange for a pardon if they somehow survived the mission. That's why the devs made all of the new companions prisoners, criminals, or mercs with shady backgrounds. However, when the time came to cut the game disk, only 10 of the companions were ready. Because of that, the devs made the last 2 (Zaeed and Kasumi) available as a free day 1 DLC, but to have that ready in time, they had to cut most of the interactions with those 2. That's why they just make random comments rather than full conversations. They were intended to work like any other squadmate, but the devs just ran out of time.

I want to give you a piece of advice (without spoilers) regarding how ME2 in general works as the game has 3 situations that are outside your control. sort of "ready or not, here we go" type of scenario Right now you can do a few missions, maybe a loyalty mission, but eventually the game will force you into a mandatory mission. Then, the game opens up, you have more recruit missions and loyalty missions open up for everyone, but eventually a 2nd mandatory mission will appear. Then an "aquire reaper IFF" mission will appear, make sure to AVOID the mission like the plague, leave it for last, Overlord, lair of the shadow broker and rescue dr amanda kenson are missions that you can do even post game, but recruit and loyalty missions should be done 1st before you go and do the reaper IFF. If you ignore this and do the reaper IFF (which is also a recruit mission), the game will take some time to install the device on the normandy, this time is often used to do the loyalty mission of the squadmember you just recruited (if you want to recruit him that is), but since you rushed the mission the reaper IFF will be installed when you least want, activating an emergency mission that you'll have to choose: Option A: You do the emergency mission unprepared, few squadmembers, few loyal, so something along the lines will fail, imagine choosing a leader for a squad and all options being unloyal to you. Option B: You keep building your team, but since the mission is urgent, the outcome will be less than desired. To pick option A in good conditions, leave the reaper IFF for later.

why don't you use powers? Ammo powers are free (no cooldown) and when you can't charge you have to use shockwave or pull. And why do you keep using shift even if you put the powers on the hotkeys (1-8)

I'll give a few sugestions regarding combat: - get your ammo powers sorted out, use something, when you use a weapon, make sure it has 1 ammo power enabled, yes some ammo powers are better against certain things, but start with enabling 1, if possible, make sure your comanions have one enabled aswell, you and they can have "squad ammo power", so if you feel that one squad member doesn't have anything, then invest in someone having a squad ammo power. - Sort your powers mainly on the 1,2,3,4 keys and leave things that are hard to reach on 5,6,7 and 8, for example medi gel on 8, ammo powers on 6 and 7 - Use powers by pressing the right key, this is especially important on the vanguard class as at certain times, even if you activate the power, nothing happens, so you need to press it a few times until the game allows you to use it, you can't replace this method with you clicking the pause button and then manually selecting the power, what if it doesn't work? you going to pause again and move your mouse over the power? what it fails again? You want to charge, click 3333333 and then continue the action.

love the first playthrough vids.here is a tip you might want to know all the upcoming characrters aka friends all have side main missions that have to get completed in order for them to be "Strong and Upholding" for that last push on the aboslute last mission, so there will be a conversation later on that asks you if your "READY" just say you need more time that being the case you already did all the main side character missions, if not then wait for there completions.

Gotta play it more like a cover shooter. Vanguard isn't well balanced in ME2 and you're likely to die within seconds of getting out of cover until you get your charge skill upgraded.

Your question about why Krogan are looked down on is history, they almost wiped out the rest of the Universe, I mean they used asteroids to destroy entire Turian colonies, the genophage though cruel was the only way to save all other species from extinction. The better question is after 1,000 years of the genophage though cruel, is it time to let the krogan grow? Is the universe ready for the Krogan population to grow? So there is a bit of racial tension with the krogan, as there is a lot of unfair blatant racism towards the Vorcha. Vorcha didn’t get got develop a more stable society, they were discovered and used as hard laborers for mercenary groups and high risk jobs, because of their appearance the are disregarded as lesser than all, yet when a job on a dangerous planet needs to be done, Vorcha are recruited.

1:10:05 This was incredibly painful to watch. Every single piece of dialog was setting you up to hate these people. You even sabotaged the mech to attack them, and when it comes time to do it.. you just, don't want to? It's half pacifist and half not actually absorbing the dialog and what is going on.
