And the did a great job with that, it really looks like Yvonne's face. 2:13:40 Don't worry too much about flirting - you can flirt with all possible romance options without locking you into a romance. The game makes it pretty clear when you lock a romance in, but even then - in ME2 you can back out of a romance and pick someone else (this will permanently end the romance you broke off though). You can progress all available romances to the point where the next step would lock the romance in. If you choose to lock one in at that point you can't start another, but if you breack the romance off the others become available again. The only other way to make a romance unavailable is not to flirt with a possible option in the first place. If you don't pick the flirt options with a character then that character becomes unavailable as a romance option. So flirt to your hearts content with as many people you like before making the final decision on the romance you want to pursuit. And yes, Kelly is a romance option for both MaleShep and FemShep. 2:36:56 Many of the human and even some of the Alien characters (Liara for example who is modelled after acress Jillian Murray and voiced by Alli Hills) where modelled after real people. 3:12:20 No, this is not Ashley. In spite of what many people believe Ashley is NOT racist, she only says that every species is looking out for their own people first - and in all honesty, that is definetly true, including humanity who always look out for human interests first. The DLCs are Project Firewalker, the Normandy Crashsite, Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival. Most of them can be done whenever you feel like it, but Arrival should be done at the very last thing you do before ending ME2. Edit: You should check on all the crew members - while you cannot really talk to them they will often make comments on events that happened or on the progress of the mission. Edit 2: The music in the Captain's Quarters are from the ME1 soundtrack.

8:38 This intro scene actually defaults to Liara being the squadmate you talk to at the beginning, but if you romanced Kaiden (for FemShep) or Ashley (for Male Shep) in ME1, the intro scene always features whichever of them you romanced if they survived Virmire. The three available love interests from ME1 are the only possibilities to appear in this scene. This is because you can't actually romance Garrus or Tali in ME1, and you can never romance Wrex, so your romance options in ME1 are limited to Kaiden, Ashley, and Liara. (It's also possible to complete ME1 without ever having recruited either Garrus or Wrex, but you do have to recruit at least one of them.) So you shouldn't feel bad about not getting that hot alien a$$ in ME1, because your only option in ME1 would have been Liara anyway. _Which is fine, Liara is great and all, but the FemShep+Garrus romance is both wholesome and hot as hell, so if you're gonna go for it, that's the one to do XD_

If you didn't romance Liara in ME1, the character is whoever you rescued on Virmire.

If you start a new game without importing a save the comic lets you choose what happens, it was originally made with PlayStation players in mind as the first game was originally an Xbox console exclusive.

There was also a thing with the clear save of the first game. Because of a little fubar that happened the clear save was made before you chose who you put in the council. Thats why the game asks who you chose if you didn't do the comic.

Awesome! love watching these first playthrough experiences. A couple of things you should know before going forward. - credits/money, are/is pretty hard to come by in this game! Spend it wisely! - make sure you do every possible side, and loyalty mission and get every ship upgrade BEFORE! starting the "Reaper IFF" mission! Their is a hidden in game timer that automatically starts once you commit to that mission.., ...for reasons.

That review before the Miranda and TIM cut scene in the beginning is flaky, clicking in the wrong place just advances you. There was nothing to change there though. I believe Firewalker, Kasumi, Zaheed, Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord and Arrival are all DLC. This is why Kasumi and Zaheed have fewer voice lines. Arrival is the only one I would recommend doing last, like after the main mission of ME2 last. Watch the graph on the right when scanning planets, high peeks are high mineral areas and are needed for upgrades, having extra is good too. Looking around for bits and bobs as you go is a good idea as missions end much more abruptly in ME2 and exploring after accomplishing the goal is not possible most of the time.

If you want to play Paragon, then yes take every Paragon option available, including the blue QTEs that you have to select quickly!! Then you can be sure to get ALL dialog options possible!

@@Kick278 I always find it so odd whenever I see recommending a strict adherence to the Paragon/Renegade options… To me, it seems like such a braindead and boring way to experience Mass Effect. Forget about what’s considered “Paragon” or “Renegade” and just choose whatever feels right in the moment. Trust me, it’s way more fun and interesting!

@@Kick278 Not necessarily… I don’t pay any attention to what equals Paragon or Renegade. In my mind, those labels don’t exist. I chose plenty of both in conversations and major decisions. It’s not that hard to keep everyone alive… even if you happen to loose their loyalty due to an argument. It’s still not that hard to keep everyone alive. However, always been able to keep everyone’s loyalty and play the game however I want. Trust me Shepard feels so much more real, when you choose a range of emotions and options in conversation and for major events.

I always choose both paragon and renegade. Paragade. Whatever I'm feeling at the time and I've never lost anybody and the extra dialogue options are always available. It's much more fun playing that way and watching someone else play. That way you don't have to hear the same old dialogue and get the same responses every time

Hi Birdy, I don't want to spoil but... ME2 is really nasty about the Paragon/Renegade split. You will miss out on important dialog options if you don't maximize one or the other. Consequences may be very harsh... Just warning you ok?

Sure, ME2 looks slicker, and the combat is somewhat better (not as good as ME3), but it isn't a better game IMO. Think it's the worst of the 3 overall, still a really good game but lacks the heart of ME1 and the impact of ME3 (despite the controversial ending). Won't get into all the problems with the final decision in ME2 because of spoilers and because the actual mission is great fun. And don't get me started on the whole Cerberus issue ...
