I bought a 1000 from someone and just judged it by the outside since there were definitely zero dents on the unit. And it was a soul sacrifice limited edition. I got it without even trying because the batt was dead. Little did i know, the screen had a burn in. I shrugged it off at first thinking it can be changed in settings but boy was i wrong. My first unit was a 2000. Then got the burned 1000 screen then sold it after a few months. Just this month i bought a perfect 2000 unit w/o issues. And i'm never going back to 1000. 😂

Would using a PSP AV to RCA or Component cable so you can watch UMD movies on an external TV be breaking the rules with your issue of playing UMD movie and not being able to move the handheld?

What a great diverse list of titles that are actually underrated! All of them look to be a good time. It’s cool Motorstorm was on PSP but I’m more surprised you could also play it on PS2 as well. Yea PPSSPP is great and amazing especially wipeout series for full screen graphics and it's nice to have that option but for a lot of the games using the native console it was designed for can't be beat in my view. Pair it up with a good set of quality headphones and your good to go. One of the reasons why I got a second had PSP again. Ohhh 2007 how I miss thee...

Bro, you got me missing my PSP-1000 phat model from over 10 years ago. One of the PSP games you showed was Midway Arcade Treasures, and that took me down memory lane wow. I just found a site to get the USA and EU ISO version. I downloaded both. Wasn't a fan of the 2000 and 3000 models as the build quality felt cheap, despite maybe having a better screen, TV output and I think faster chip. Thanks to you, I'm now looking a for 2nd hand good condition PSP-1000 model and will never sell it again.

More on the JRPG side, I believe one of the most underrated Monster Hunter clones is Ragnarok Odyssey ACE. Even though it was originally released on Vita and tried to ride the bandwagon Capcom created during the PSP/Vita era, streaming it via PS Plus made me really appreciate the direction they went with the action RPG part of the Ragnarok franchise. And yeah, it fell flat; XSEED stopped supporting it after barely even a year despite multiplayer functionality still there. But I greatly enjoyed the simple yet addicting gameplay loop, and I hope I get to enjoy it with others once they decide to port it to modern consoles or even remake the game. That, and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3. Come on, Bandai-we want it back, and you know it.

Psp was ahead of its time way before smartphones. I had one. Never had a ds. It was definitely my multimedia console. I think i listen to music and watch movies on it more than i did with video games. I did played video games on it though. I didnt even had an ipod either the psp was perfect for all of that time.

Great library on the PSP, but the screen size is where I'd struggle. Even the larger Vita screen frustrates me a bit. You must have great eyesight!

Well, i won’t be buying the PS6 atleast 2 years after release if I think it’s worthwhile and that there are a good number of games specifically released for it…oh and it has to have a built in disk drive, not one you have to buy separately, otherwise I’m out

Mad Max is actually amazing, I personally even liked the story and direction of it. Since I am a car guy, it was more understandable what the story is all about. I have it on PC (pirated version + official steam version) and also on PS4, have walked through it twice, once on PC, once on PS4
