With the closure of the Xbox 360 store the PS3 is the last console standing from the 7th generation of game consoles. How much longer will the ps3 playstation store stay up and how much longer will we be able to play this console online for? The PS3 store might be laggy but it is still alive!

Still use my PS3 today mostly as a Blu Ray player it’s the best Blu Ray player I’ve ever tested. My PS3 is loaded with music and videos and pictures. 1TB of content since the PS3 reads off the discs and dosnt download to the console I loaded up the system with movies and shows and music. Still play the OG Last Of Us on it man it’s still holds up

@@FranchisePlayyer I cant fking believe it - just picked up a PS3 Fat model, CLEAN, no scratches for 70aud. It came with two controllers, all cables and GTA IV, GTAV. I just had to drive an hour into the adelaide hills for it haha. The amount of PS3s I nearly bought and then turned down - I will never let this one go.

The ps3 is my all time favourite console it has an amazing library of games and if you buy a Frankenstein backwards compatible it will stay nice and cool and super reliable. It an amazing console that will allow you to play PS3 ps2 and ps1 games in HD.

A PS3 is what I recommend to people who want to play older video games but don't want to spend too much on a system. 1. Easy to upgrade (hard drive). 2. Easy to jailbreak, doesn't even require you to mess with the hardware. 3. Full PS1 compatibility and "hidden" PS2/PSP compatibility emulators that can be used on the non-BC models. 4. Native HDMI port by default for our modern TVs. 5. CD, DVD and Bluray support. 6. Excellent homebrew scene that lets us play even more games (NES, SNES, GBA). Just avoid the phats due to the defective GPU that cooks itself unless you get a "frankeinstein" model that swapped out the defective chip. Slims and Super Slims are all fine.

I'm glad I bought Marvel vs Capcom 2 when it was available in 2010. Best version of the game and online multiplayer still works today! I don't understand how they let you re-download it as many times as you want on multiple PS3s if you bought it when it was available but you can't buy it for the first time now? I mean it's available on their server so why wouldn't they want to make more money from as many titles as possible? I wish I would have got Soul Calibur 2 HD and Metal Gear Solid 3 HD while they were available.

Just picked up Rain, Tokyo Jungle and The Last Guy. Next will be Painkiller and its DLC packs. Almost done collecting for the PS3. Have 106 games including all the good exclusives. Only really want Yakuza Dead Souls now but it’s pricy. All the multi platform games I purchased for the XB360. Shitty thing about the PSN store is having to use gift cards to make purchases. With the XB360 store I was able to pay through PayPal up until the final day.

the bad thing about if sony shuts down the store for ps3 and vita. you wont be able to download your games anymore if it shuts down. I have laods of digital ps3 and vita games so thatll be a problem for me when the time comes. But, I also love having physical games for ps3 and vita.

You know what i like about the PS3? You can use Playstation 4 controllers with PS3. Sure the PS3 controller is fine but it doesnt feel as premium as the Playstation 4 controller does with its nice trigger buttons & wider spacing with the thumbsticks. It almost feels next gen playing PS3 on a Playstation 4 controller.

That's true, but not all games support PS4 controllers, because you connected as a Bluetooth device not as native a DS3. To make it work 100% on all games you need to buy an external adapter.

It SUCKS that i just got into the ps3. Because Sony is deleting some games. And from what i heard that it's not the same of what it used to be. For crying out loud let us have fun. I would not recommend buying any of these games. This late into its life cycle because when the store goes down, most of these games are going to be deleted if not all of them. If the store is no longer going to be available, then you will not have a way to download these games. So therefore, it's a waste of money and best. Believe you're gonna be paying a $150 a year to be able to play them on PlayStation. 4 or 5 that is exactly why I switched to PC because. Does console suck and you have no freedom and pc?Let you do whatever the fuck you want
