The artillery witch art is what got me interested in this franchise to begin with. Its good I ike her rules and the Death Commando's too. Will definitely be playing heretic legions going forwards.

Do you measure from the middle of the models base or the front of the base?

Love the look and the DIY approach. Any ideas or plans in that big ol book of hobby terrain on how to tackle some of the Middle Eastern terrain? Looking to diversify my battlefields in the Levant!

I feel like I would have slightly bad feels if someone pulled out the 3" blast template when the witch missed by 3"... and then said it didn't hit haha. Math ain't mathing.

looks good! Andif the game doesn't suit, looks like a good deal to use for games like fear and faith and flying lead from ganesha games. I actually got a bunch of studio models ww2 german zombies, but most are unhelmeted so would work great with this.

Hey Andy , thank you for this review, I was keen on Trench Crusade, but more on the kit bash/ troop side, rather then the whole , God/ demon Christian , Islam stuff. Forbidden psalm seems to inch the scratch I have for a weird grim dark WW1 game with out the giant monster you need for your own armies . When bought the book after your review , now have kit bash with 7 other mater and are looking to start a game in the next 2 weeks. Thanks fella 😊

I'm watching this months after so forgive me if this has already been corrected or if it was the reslut of a rule change but, at around 42:42 one of you states that it's a shame you can only spend 1 Blood Marker at a time. This isn't true, you may spend as many as you like for an injury role up to 6 I believe, which is condisered a Bloodbath. But if you wanted to spend 2 Blood Markers for 2 -dice, so that you could increase the odds of lower numbers rolled, you may. At least that's how I understand it. I'm still fairly new to TC so I'm stil trying to wrap my head around a lot of it. Good game. Enjoyed the match!

Just throw in some closer, sweeping angles interspersed with the POV and overhead camera angles, and you've got a banger series.

Just saw this a couple of days ago and made a New Antioch lieutenant based on the free Winter Fallschirmjäger sprue that came with Wargames Illustrated, fingers crossed will get it painted in time.

I've gone Alba variant. Lt with machine armour and a big Lochaber axe and submachine gun. Sniper Priest with a Machine Gun (just for the lolz).

Anyone who puts a clip of flashheart in a video deserves a sub! Interesting take on conversion!

I'm looking at a LT, Sniper Priest, 2 x Trench moles, 5 Yeoman with rifle, 1 Yeoman with flame thrower. Looking to use the Bulldogs as well for my models.

I played this as a kid before I got into 40k. a lot of nostalgia! the whole thing should have been pitched as a game to play before you play 4ok

While the box is great there are small oversights that don't matter that much but could have elevated the box from great to awesome ;) - The trench maggot is usually placed on a 50mm base and is big enough to swallow you whole. No fitting base in the box and the models are a bit to small. - The trench rat on the other hand is a bit on the bulky side for a 25mm based mini. Just a minor thing. - No order cards... They exist so why not include them? Even a single deck for all players would have been enough (place the cards on the table and whenever a player uses an order he puts a color-matching token on it to show that he used it) Otherwise the box is a kitbashers dream and nothing stops you from getting a 50mm base and putting all 4 of them on it to give it a more swarm-like vibe ;) I hope this sells like sliced bread. The author deserves it!

I got the box and is saving it as a christmas gift for myself but it was nice to have a little peek in your video. 😁 Bit spoiled for choice all of the sudden, I was just getting into A War Transformed and working on a Russian patrol when I learned of The Last War and then Trench Crusade and now I'm invested in all of them. Weird WW1 is really my jam right now I suppose.

Oooh i’m itchin to get a copy 😆 played it a few times and it’s a great game! Forbidden Psalm in general is but weird world war is a great setting. The terrain and minis can be used for a lot of other FP games and Trench Crusade. A War Transformed too but I’ve not managed to play that one! 😆

I am a big fan even tough i dont own all the stuff that got released but what i have is a blast! Forbidden Psalm is great. Period! The last war with its "endless trenches" rules gives me flashbacks of space hulk and stuff like that. Had to buy the box the moment i spotted it ;) MörkBOLL is so funny, too. Thanks for all those great games. All the work that went into it. This whole "thing" has the potential to end in the hall of fame for the best games ever. Stay safe and healthy. Really enjoyed talking with you, Andy! I think we need to clarify one point, though, in terms of Reinforcements. Some people might understand that, unless you fall back and Reinforce, you can't get anything new added to the warband, in terms of equipment or models. You CAN do that without Reinforcing, but the constraints of the current ducat limit and your current available ducats might make so that Reinforcing is a preferable avenue to take because it gives you more room to play with, mathematically speaking. When you're reinforcing you're just stripping your models down to their undies and benefitting from the entire difference until you hit the ducat limit, which leaves you with great leeway in terms of re-equipping, recruiting, etc. If you don't Reinforce and you're a handful of models down, you can only sell equipment off at half price and sorta-kinda make some more ducats up, as well as getting something (maybe) from Exploring, but you're only using that alongside whatever peanuts you had left in your Treasury to meet that ducat limit. More often than not, that is significantly less than what you'd get with Reinforcing, which is why it's sometimes preferred and through a current, 4-battle campaign, both my buddy and I have done it once.

It really helps to put a little token or something next to models to indicate that they have either activated or have yet to activate. Every activation counts. Every activation should serve a purpose.

It would be good to see an analysis of the weapons/armour in terms of rock paper scissor issues - do you bring a toolkit squad for those factions that have a wide range of options, or can you go heard into shooting or melee and still do well? Are there clear must haves for New Antioch in terms of troop types, weapons and gear, or is more play style preferences? Are mercenaries a bit of a waste because they dont usually experience up? Are you better with more less well armoured troops for more activations and objective grabbers, or are less better armed more elite units going to fair better?

I love that he focuses on accessibility as an important design element!
