I highly preferred the quirks, character and irony of Michele's Gucci to the disappointing vision Sabato has inflicted on the brand.

No matter what you said, Zendaya and Tyla stole the show, but Zendaya had been trending world-wide all day yesterday. She did what she suppose to be done. She displayed archived looks as the co-chair, whether you agree or not it has certainly catapulted her career, future.

I appreciate "I deserve Couture" commenting and referencing the fashion houses and NOT the celebrity when making his comments. Its about the fashion, the stylists, the designers, not the celebrities. Also, Oliver Rousteing is one of the young iconic designers of today!

This matgala was like pieces of a babies diaper, absolutely terrible. The amount of minimalism in the cotour was about disappointing. There was no contrast, rhythm or unity within the clothing most of the people wore. There needs to be better, and that will take more time. Overall, I'm not going to wait for the circus dress up to get better. That will come with force.

Part 2 pls!!! Also remember that Emma has to interview during the whole met gala, so it’s impractical for her to do something ground-breaking. Shes going to be on camera all night so practical but on-point and also flattering is exactly what she needed to wear! Shes needs to be comfy on camera because we OBSESS over her vogue interviews Edit: but also I freaking adore you and your channel thank you for your service 🫶🏻

Do a part 2 and talk about Lewis Hamilton. I'd say his look is definitely one of my favorites even though it might be simple, but the story behind it is dope

Fit is different than gender expression. How one’s clothes fit is subjective. And, sure, when you’re at the whims of mass-produced clothing, you’re limited to what is presented based on general proportions and sizes of men, women, and children. But challenging the _concept_ of pants or skirts or tops, etc. is a deliberate political act that has been and continues to be done. There is no need to truck in questions of personal fit of clothing and confusing that with the value of challenging gender norms. The women playing football is the challenge to gender norms, not whether or not their uniforms or shoes fit.

For me one of the very few great clad and styled was Chloe Sevigny. Tyla was good but didn`t kicked me from the sofa . 99,5% was absolutely underwhelming. And can someone explain me what is going on with Doja? Is she on contract with KW (to be the double of his wife...????)or/and Gvasa. as well?? After KW was (righteously) dumbed by the brother??

(Sigh) I think I just saw Fairytopia. Olivier stole the show - in fact the MEN stole the show: Barry Keoghan, Eddie Redmayne, Lil Nas X, Kieran (coat for the fit 😬) Damiano David, Alton Mason…No idea who their designers and stylists are. Most people looked like they were going to the opera or Vegas (Jennifer Lopez) and I wish I had not seen any flowers or clocks. The sand dress would have been interesting if she had moved in it and we were able to watch it fall apart. While Kyla looked beautiful and her dress was fantastic, fascinating…unique. When I saw the aides lift her like a mannequin and place her stiff, vertical body from stair to stair - I was embarrassed since they might as well have paraded a literal plaster dummy. I will not watch another Met Gala until they hire some on-air hosts who have some knowledge of Fashion although it 2024 was a step up from 2023’s “YOU LOOK SO AMAAAAAZING!”

I would've brought something from Loewe SS23, a reimagination of the anthurium dress, or from menswear with the grass coat. The grass coat would've been perfect for the garden theme and the growth of the actual grass as a representation of time. I also thought of Virgil Abloh's LV skyscraper jacket, a new version of that would have been cool. Skyscrapers are representations of time periods in the urban environment. Each building are calcified versions of their zeitgeist.

It’s very hard for me to appreciate this kind of style. For women, there are 2-3 silhouettes all of which are conventionally flattering and attractive. For men, there are endless suit variations but most are no more interesting than what the women are wearing. I would love to see Carol Christian Powell designing for the Gala… maybe someday such a world could exist.

I won't lie I'd love to see a back to back Galliano exhibit... all the Margiela podcast stuff was so interesting, that I feel small clips of him speaking here and there interspersing the outfits would make for a fascinationg show. The man is interesting and educated. and has a lot of influences. on a different note Olivier's outfit and Tyla's were very good reference to the stone statues in the original story and the sands of time. Not the obvious flowers.
