Sorry if my voice sounds a bit strange, I’ve been ill over the past week. This is my Michael Jordan flu game moment lol.

When Nicolas was at Balenciaga, god them shows and collections were perfect. Check out the Fall 2006 show. Perfection. He was so experimental there and the collections looks rich and so well crafted. I guess working at Vuitton being so much more bigger , his creativity is not as strong I feel however he has developed and grown, and you can't stay the same. I hate that in fashion when people get bagged because it's "not the same". He has always been interested in science fiction and horror. I find Nicolas inspirational and low key as well, which I appreciate .

Him, Alber Elbaz and Stefano Pilati were designers of really beautiful and interesting clothing who I always feel flew under the radar a little bit.
@gobyfish13998 ай бұрын
Alber Elbaz did design beautiful clothes, that were accessible to most people, they were more classic, they were not weird, like Nicolas, which I feel is too intellectual in his design and likes strange fabric, color, shape combinations, which the ordinary person ( not fashion critic looking for such things ) finds unattractive. NG makes interesting clothes, Alber made beautiful clothes.

@@gobyfish1399 Yeah I suppose, Ghesquiere can do classic beauty if he wants but with a twist - especially in some of the Balenciaga collections (SS08 comes to mind - the slightly armour-like floral silk jacquard dresses).

For Balenciaga he did make more "beautiful" clothes and bags, but for LV, I think they let him make the clothes he wanted, too intellectual for me, the theme overriding the actual look, but he still made bags that sell, so big boss Arnault let him. @@akym82810

Nicholas definitely studies and researches thoroughly before designing. That's why he's good.

To keep the high standard of luxury going in a span of a decade is truly magnificent work from Ghesquiere. Truly underrated CD for LV.

His clothes in LV give me this whole futuristic utopian vibe, like Logans Run meets Jaques Fresсo floating cities, like all poor people died in a global flood, and rich people now live in luxurious robotized floating cities, and their kids travel between these cities wearing Ghesquire clothes

Hi long time lurker here, was wondering if you have heard of the recent boycott movement against Loro? Their social media account seems to be suspended?

Yes I’ve heard about it, I addressed it on Instagram - it’s actually a tricky situation with a lot to it

They were complicit - Bloomberg did a detailed podcast on the topic, they’re also the ones that broke the news
