Purchased an expensive custom record player stand. It arrived today, seems the shelves came apart in transit. The builder said I could glue the shelves myself or send it back. I decided I'm going to do it myself and save myself anymore aggravation. Thank you for this easy video.

I have just tried an alternative sealing I used Wood Hardener It is clear deep penetrating into the fibres and rock hard it dies clear and when sanded removes all the furry fibres ready for paint Try it it really works well

It's a great pity that you have never been sponsored by Screwfix for your honest review. l have seen all your reviews on this planer thickner. And l did not think that it would last long but it has and you have proved that 100%. Just need to buy one now that l have retired from work.

If I was looking for an absolute perfect finish, I would go for acrylic primer, followed by the wood filler, then painted. The acrylic primer joins all the furry fibres together, This then gives a solid foundation for the wood filler.

Hi Joe, thank you for posting this video and for your absolute sincerity. One of your many gifts that stand out is your ability to communicate with excellence in front of a camera, I have tried this and it extremely difficult but you have always made it look easy. I am a Christian and I will be praying for you Joe that God would give you successful outcomes in all your treatment. I have had 2 severe nervous breakdowns in my life so I know life can be tough sometimes. I love your positive attitude and the fact you struggle with these problems yet you can reach out to others to help them is a really lovely attribute of your character. You have also spent many years helping others by sharing your skills and discoveries with the world. I just want to say, thank you so much and I pray you will experience optimal health going forward. You are an inspiration!! I just wanted to add, I have lived in Scotland since age 5 but I was actually born in Birmingham!! I spent my early childhood there and had a Brummy accent like yours. They are memories I will never forget even though I was just a young child.😊

I purchased a computer desk online made of MDF boards, and it appears to have a paper type of wallpaper over it. Can I seal this with an acrylic sealer? What can I do to preserve this wood?

Bought one today for £60.00 second hand, the seller clearly didn't use it, as it hasn't got any marks or scratches on it, it looks brand new, total bargain!! Struggled to set it up though, as the instruction manual was more than useless. This video was a great help. 👍👍

If I may make a suggestion, it would be better and more cost-effective if the MDF coating used a mixture of gypsum powder and wood glue diluted/mixed with water (ratio 100:25)

I'd love to have the same equipment. working with proper tools makes I huge difference I reckon. Today I made a tiny shelf for my midi keyboard that rolls out from under the desktop, but I made it all using shitty and rusty tools, it's not really fun, I spent half the day. I think I'll just bite the bullet and buy some proper drills, and whatnot. A nice video btw. Very aesthetically pleasing. Cheers
