This song is so relatable because I was considered a misfit and the “weird girl” at my school while I lived in the U.S.. Nobody over there really wanted to be my friend nor were they were interested in what I had to share but at least I tried to fit in.

Hello I'm over 40 and I'm impressed how I've got through life. I've never tried to fit into any group and I've always been true to myself! Here's to all the independent people out there doing their own thing! I played this album to death. I don't think I was at school at the time, I was probably transitioning into adulthood. Like others, I used to listen to these songs during high school when I was being bullied, for years. It's strange to listen to a song that was around when I genuinely didn't think I'd make it into my 20s, let alone to my late 30s with a family and a child of my own. Not afraid to admit, at a time I was big into bands like Foo Fighters, Offspring, Semisonic etc this type of music shouldn’t of struck a chord with me but this just did, in fact the whole album was killer!
