The floor/rocker worker was done on my Nomad probably 30 years ago (and never got put back together) but now I have some idea what the original floors looked like before the repair work! I’m sure it was a very rusty car.

If you need the door sills, I have some for this car. The company that I bought mine from sent me the wrong ones and ended up letting me keep them. I’m happy to sell them to you at a fair price if you like.

Nice progress Rob. When you do get around to restoring the chassis and body, are you going to do your own soda or sandblasting? I am also running out of a 2 car garage and will need to roll my 57 2dr SC outside and try to do it in the driveway.

Would their be any problems running side engine mounts with the original front bell housing mount ? I am adding AC and it's real tight running the lower radiator hose between the fan belt and the right front motor mount . Thank's

Many guys run the front engine mounts and old tranny locations. Unless you’re running big hp, they will hold until the cows come home!! Good luck!

Robert, I'm looking for a one piece carpet for my 1955 Bel Air Sedan. Looking for "Cut Pile" like you said (ACC) and I see Die Cut instead. Is that what you are referring to? Thank you!

Hey Robert! I have a red and white 1955 Bel Air. The inside is red and white as well. I need to purchase new carpet, but I'm not sure what color to get. I was thinking black, but do you think it will be too much? Or do you think I should go with a red that is close to the color of the car? I don't plan to paint it just yet, but maybe in a few years. I'd really appreciate your input! Thank you!

Call ACC and they'll send you color samples of the red family. Black would be too drastic with red and white

I had a similar issue mounting the rain gear where I needed more room for the fuse panel and hydraulic clutch linkages. Called rain gear and they advices me that the wiper motor on the bracket could be clocked in a second position. At the moment I can’t remember what position it put it in. But if interested I can share pictures.

Thanks for the tips. I beleave all the 2-doors have same length wire covers. My Nomad has them too. If you have some flat stock make your own because there very simple panels. Just put a notch for the windlace to tuck under it buy rolling it to prevent chafing.

A lot or reproduction parts are garbage, or just not meant to be used. I just broke my second wiper switch. Ordered an NOS one to replace it with. Hopefully I will be able to get it to activate the windshield washer.

The star washer idea is genius!!! Kind of hard to grab the locking ring good enough to tighten it without fear of scratching the paint. Thank you very much for the videos.

Thanks for putting all three of those upgrades in one video. I’ve seen you do those in other videos before but nice to have one with all three. I was thinking a vintage tin first aid container would be cool to use to hide the fuse panel, that is if there is room on the kick panel for it. I’m going to try that on my car

Oh man, sometimes it’s a whole lot easier and just start from scratch again! You mentioned that you like using the EZ wiring kits but if you want to maybe look at another option, reach out to Mike at Spanky’s Hotrods, he just featured a universal wiring kit on his KZbin channel and he’s based out of Memphis, looked like a pretty decent kit. Thanks again for the video!

I am going to mount a flat screen TV in my shop so I can watch your videos, and others, while I am working on my 56. I may never got back in the house! ;) Thanks for what you do! I bought a Harbor Freight hydraulic press so I can rebuild my A-Arms for my 56. But, like you, I am seeing areas where I can improve on GM's design. It is easy to bend the A-Arms in a press removing the lower bushings, so I am making some small pieces of steel to bolster the A-arms where they tend to collapse. Going to weld them solid for my future piece of mind. Keep up the good work!!
