Question, so exchanging this thing will not work without coding it????

the code is meant to be 11250, how come you used 11251?

Great video pal. 🎉🎉🎉 Can I ask, you say you have never done this job before. How did you know how to do, are you using some type of learning resource?? Thanks
@RevivingSalvage4 күн бұрын
No I have no experience, I’m no mechanic, that’s all I do is watch a KZbin video or read a work shop manual, and just have the confidence to give it a go! You can be surprised what you can do if you just try.
@evieemaya884 күн бұрын
@@RevivingSalvage great thanks for this. So with this job did you just learn via KZbin, or did you have manual? If so can you tell us what manual you used?
@RevivingSalvage3 күн бұрын
@evieemaya88 I just watched a few videos on KZbin but there wasn’t much but I could peace together roughly how to do it I haven’t got a manual for the VW. If you’re looking for manuals then easy manuals is a good one to buy and download

I've just taken the rocker bridge off because it had a turbo failure. 3 off the wheels had seized solid through lack of oil . What I did check for a well because I could and I know all of it was fecked was the wheels that do turn were rolling nice . None of them were. all the bearing material had worn away. That would cause alot of noise on the valves. I've ordered a cheap one on eBay as it was new £140 A second hand one was twice the price. As I'm not keeping the van till I can afford a better one I'm not worried as long as I can get it going. Forgive my grammar as I've just had to relearn to read and write due to a bleed on my brain so I've forgotten loads of stuff.
@RevivingSalvage4 күн бұрын
Thank you, I’m extremely grateful you’ve taken the time to comment. No need to apologise. Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, hopefully you will make a full recovery and get you transit back to full health, these vans are definitely high maintenance, if they’ve received poor maintenance throughout their history then you’re fighting a loosing battle. Oil starvation is one of the most common causes of engine failure. Not to mention the rust lol. Get well soon buddy

I've got a 2010 transit bought as non runner as turbo was gone . Paid £500 but cost another £100 to get it flatbed to my house. Done the work and drove lovely for 30 miles then not so . Fecking transit vans . If you're in South Wales I'm near Bridgend. Think this is my last recycling of old vehicles as I've been doing this since 1978 and things are getting more complicated.

My garagist says I need a new flywheel and entire clutch system. For financial reasons, can I just have the flywheel repaired for now?
@RevivingSalvage4 күн бұрын
It all depends on how worn it is, you can get them reface for a fraction of the price. But if the garage is saying that it should be replaced then they are the experts, these aren’t cheap car to fix when they go wrong. Good luck 🤞
