I Bought A Super Cheap Polo R Line From an Auction (SYNETIQ), Now that I've fixed the suspension on the VW, There seem to be more problems with the engine. The EPC light has now come on while I was test driving and there seems to be even more damage under the front bumper. It looks like this car wasn't a bargain after all. I've had the same boost fault on my Ibiza (same engine). You just have to remove the electrical part of the turbo actuator (rhs of the turbo) and use plastic grease on the bit inside (its a spring loaded bit of plastic that sticks). Basically the ecu dosen't know what position the actuators in & goes into limp mode. Cheap easy fix, apart from the weitd security bolts they've used to attach it.

Nice update and well done for keeping at ‘her’ - I reckon you’re right about the ‘additional’ damage (to the wings) to make it look like a simple crunch - can’t imagine for a second that the bonnet and front bumper are original, given the crash bar damage and witness marks on the bonnet bolts - hope the rest of ‘her’ is straight, and it just comes down to panels/painting, and a good service - she’ll be tidy after that! Keep ‘em comin’! JCHK

are you Shaw you should be driving un road worthy car on the road with out insurance, the dvla have carried out operations stopping people with cars in your condition coming out of copart were people think they can drive them back on trade plates

Looks like another 'dressed' car. Normally cars submitted to auction by Insurance companies don't suffer from this dodgy practice..
