My brand motor that I have calls for 32:1 I've also seen the same looking motor online that says 25:1 and now I've seen a lot of people online saying run 40:1???
@HughesMotorized6 сағат бұрын
40 to 1 all you need from day one. Toss the instructions in the trash
@nwsights63016 сағат бұрын
@@HughesMotorized Well I ran 32:1 like the manufacturer of this motor scooters told me to do, the motor flooded over the course of two days riding it and the top end went out piston rings shaved and shaved a part off the piston itself, maybe running 32:1 is what caused that?

Normally you have to install a rope crinkle for the start and not the compression and release the gas when you shift and you unshift

No. Those pull starts are total crapola. Junk. They break early and often

@@HughesMotorized what if it's a billett pull start?

@@mattclinch1976 The Bullet engines are better. I'd still say if you want the most reliable kit w a pull start, go for a 4 stroke. 49cc, 79cc or 100cc

Gotcha. Thanks for watching. We all figure our own way and master it. My daily runner I call the Ratbike, I've been running for 9 years, has no loctite/threadlock on it. Once I get pieces properly mounted, I just use nylock nuts, lock washers. or hi-hex nuts. Peace

Very informative video. I have put together one of this engine and it works Ok with some hick ups. I think with your video I may fix that. Couple of issue is have. One is that when running there is too much tail white smoke comes out. Other is that when engine stops, there is black oil drips from the muffler. Any idea how to fix these issues? Thanks.

My brand NEW engine sure won't be running on any 40:1 mixture initially. Note the word "new". It's not so much the rings, there's dry bearings in there, connecting rod, etc... stuff that needs lubrication right from the start. Not all of the oil burns off (or turns to carbon), residual oil remains unburnt and that's what lubricates the internals, not just the rings, but the entire inside of the engine. The manufacturer makes recommendations for a reason. 🤔
@HughesMotorized12 күн бұрын
The guys who build $1000 race engines? They also say use 40:1 from day one. $700 Chainsaws run 50:1 using no break in mix. The "manufacturers" of these engines? They don't know BS about these engines. They buy parts from whatever supplier has the cheapest price and they use unskilled laborers to slam the kits together.

Incredible video. If my moto chain is off, my bike tire turns fine. Incredibly difficult to turn the bike pedals if moto chain is on If I was paying any attention, I believe it has to do with adjusting the flower nut? It's supposedly a new kit but I am seeing grease and marks on screws. No noticable damage to parts. Should I grease the cogs more?

Been having trouble with my throttle so I don't hit my clutch as often as I should. This has caused my motor to hit on that chain real hard at times, snapped a pulley off it's bolt.

Great video. Thanks. Question: I bought a new gas motor kit and properly hooked it up to my bicycle. Someone, who was kindly helping me, put in an extra Clutch Actuator Bearing (because he did not see the other bearing that was hidden) and cracked the back plate on the other side. I went in, via the backside, and removed that extra bearing. I close it up and attempted a quick test run. When the clutch is squeezed and released, it does still open and close the door properly in the carborator. The spark plug is new and inserted properly. It does have fuel going from the gas tank to the carborator. But when I now get on the bike and pedal downhill while holding in on the clutch, it does nothing. Before the guy put that extra bearing in it did drive, but the backwheel was locked up until it was forced to a rolling start... but it would start and drive. However, it would only accelerate and not slow down, though, so I was forced to akways use the kill switch. Now, the back wheel turns with no resistance, but it just will not start. The small sprocet (the one at the motor), where the chain goes around, spins freely with no resistance. Something is just not engaging the clutch to put it in drive. I do not even hear any noises (popping) from the motor when I roll it downhill to start it. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks. -Shawn

Someone accidently put in an extra clutch actuator bearing in my gas powered motor (he did not see the other ball bearing already in it), and when he put back the bucking bar and crancking down the cover, a pop could be heard as the metal cover on the back cracked. Well, I opened up the back up and tapped out the two ball bearings and put one bearing and the bucking bar back in. I then placed and tightened the cover back on. I tried starting it, but now it will not start. Also, after he put in the second ball bearing by mistake, the back wheel suddenly moved freely, unlike before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
