i like that you cut back on the usual 2 c. sugar i see many others use, i have cut it back also. and yay to, more cocoa! 😀 thank you! oh -- i meant to say that i put mine in the freezer on a couple of oval plates, with parchment. i'd say they could be bagged up that way, buuut... let's just say their freezer vacation is a short one. 😁 ** edited again ~ the idea of adding orange extract came to me when a thumbnail of orange salad appeared. oooo -- or maybe raspberry! i better get off of here, lol. take care, all. 😊

Is this the same stuff they serve in McDonalds in the US? the same iced tea? that stuff was lovely.

Oh, this is going to be BETTER than what they have at McDonald's. This is true southern style sweet tea. I don't know if McDonald's uses sugar in their tea or if they use high fructose corn syrup, but if you follow the instructions in this video, I think you'll be pleased. :) Let me know what you think. I think in this video I'm making 2 quarts (a half gallon) of sweet tea, so that's 1 cup of sugar for that amount, but you can adjust up or down to your taste. As long as you dissolve the sugar into the small amount of water first to make a syrup, you'll be able to make tea, you can just adjust the amounts up or down but stick with the ratio of 1 cup of sugar to two quarts of water. (I think about 2 liters?)

These meatballs look delicious!! Unfortunately Im not a cheese gal....(When growing up my sweet mother always had to cook my food separately from everyone else's when it was something cooked with cheese) but I woll be completely honest with you, im DEF NOT the best cook (and believe it or not im not the worst either ....but somewhere in between lol) so question for ya: If I take out the cheese from the ingredient list....would I just add more of the breadcrumbs in to replace the cheese?? If so how much?? Many thx to u in advance!! 🍝💜
@OldTimeKnowledge
@OldTimeKnowledge 19 күн бұрын
Hmm... you know, I don't even know if it will make a big difference without the cheese. It's not like they taste cheesy - so I don't even know if I'd miss them if they were gone! You can certainly add extra breadcrumbs, but I'd probably just leave them out. I'm not sure if the extra breadcrumbs might make them more dry since cheese does have some moisture in it but breadcrumbs don't. 🤔 Either way! I hope if you try making them without the parmesan that you let me know how they turn out! Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!

@OldTimeKnowledge
@OldTimeKnowledge 19 күн бұрын
The recipes are always in the description of the video. For your convenience, here you go: Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup milk 1 3/4 cups sugar 4 Tbsp. cocoa powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup peanut butter 3 cups oatmeal Instructions: 1. Melt together the first three ingredients, then add cocoa powder. 2. Once mixture has come to a steady boil, set timer for 1 minute. 3. After 1 minute, remove mixture from heat and add vanilla, peanut butter, and oatmeal. 4. Mix everything together well then drop no-bake cookies onto parchment or wax paper on your counter. They will generally firm up at room temperature. (If your kitchen stays very warm, they may take longer to firm up.) 5. After an hour to an hour and a half, enjoy these delicious no-bake cookies!

I'm beginning to wonder if my issues has been that I use peaches that are ripe for eating but maybe too ripe for blanching! The jam is always amazing, but the blanching thing never works out great for me - not for peaches, anyway.

Can you use little debbies instead of graham crackers?
@OldTimeKnowledge
@OldTimeKnowledge 19 күн бұрын
Hmm... you probably could, but then it would seem like a very different recipe. If you try it, let me know how it goes! I think I'd be worried that the Little Debbie snacks might get too soggy in this. The graham crackers hold some density because they're dryer to start with.

@OldTimeKnowledge
@OldTimeKnowledge Ай бұрын
I don't use Cool Whip for anything except some of those no bake desserts like Banana Pudding or Chocolate Lasagna, those sorts of things, and that's just because usually when I'm making them I'm making so many other things I think I'll faint if I have to use another bowl and set of beaters to make whipped cream. 🤣😭 I have a small kitchen and only a countertop dishwasher so sometimes I just opt for less dishes even when it's not ideal! The flavor is definitely way better with real whipped cream.
