My h and r springs have like a rubbbery sqweek on compression, fronts only. does yours have that? I’m tempted to try a different brand

So.. the reason this method works.. and why u had to do this.. the little round hinged shield plate that acts as a protector to your filler neck and fuel system.. breaks off and falls down the filler neck. You can see from your video that yours is missing. If u take ur gas cap off and look at the hole u put the end of the nozzle into u will see the two hinge holes that used to hold the cover for the nozzle hole. It's a little metal piece.. flat and shaped exactly like the hole and when u push the nozzle into it.. it opens via the hinge and allows you to do so.. then when u pull nozzle out it automatically closes and covers that hole to protect stuff from going into the fuel system. They are cheap garbage and they break off and fall down the filler neck and get lodged where the filler tube meets the tank. It's nice that u can beat on it and make the thing move around a bit or just enough to open the passage way up to allow fuel but.. if it keeps happening.. remove the filler tube from gas tank and try to get it out of there .

Why didn’t you just removed the strut on its own in the front? You did so much extra work

While you are doing the top front mount bolts not a bad Idea to clean your sun roof drains that should be right under the plastic panel as well!

Can you not just fit spring compressors on the front. Take scuttle out and remove top damper nut? Lower damper rod and remove the spring? Lowering spring will be shorter so will go back on with no compressors?

Hey looks awesome and i am currently in the same situation. I checked on ecs and eurotuning and both have the mqb kit but they all say not for the tiguan but for every other mqb. I have the same exact vehicle as you, was that the set you purchased? Any feedback would be awesome.

Having this same issue after a few times filling it up the valve got stuck again and had to tap it every time this happens.. do you know or someone know how to fix this issue from happening again? I really don’t want to carry a hammer along in the car every time this happens.
