How To Fix Leaking Jeep Water on Floorboard Capet

In this video I show how I fixed the floorboards from leaking in a 2014 Jeep Patriot Lattitude 4x4 2.4L. The problem was first noticed when the floorboards on the drivers side in the front and back were completely saturated with water. I assumed it was from the rain but quickly found the problem occurred when the AC was running. To fix this issue all you have to do is pull up the carpet under the accelerator (gas pedal) and re-insert the AC condensation drain line into the grommet. This will direct the water from inside the vehicle to the outside.

The leaking was occurring on my 2014 Jeep Patriot passenger side through a vent. Driver’s side hose was in place but it was clogged. Pulled hose off and cleaned out. Problem solved. Thanks for posting this video!

My leak is on the passenger side is it a way to pull the carpet back. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee summit 2012. I ask you that because I see that is under the celebrator on your side. It doesn't look the same on the Passenger side.

Did you happen to check where the hose connects to the AC unit??? Maybe the opposite end of your tube has disconnected? Otherwise I would just let your AC run and see if it is draining directly under the middle of the vehicle. If it draining out then the AC condensation may not be your issue.

Mine leaks only in the winter time when it has been raining for hours, all night, not using the a/c during these months.

I wonder if your issue is a blocked drain line that comes down from the roof. It runs down a small hose located inside the windshield pillar area. It can be accessed by removed the plastic pillar trim on the passenger side. You’ll see a plastic tube running down from the roof. Could be partially blocked or frozen in the winter causing the water to just run into the door jam and flood the floors.

Not mine, Mine is related to the rain, it leaks onto my left foot especially when I make a left turn so it must pool up someplace, yesterday I cleaned out the dirt and leaves that collect in the corners under the hood and plasted those drains out but nope still leaked this morning after the rain.

@@almostglorious9503 no , it just snowed and rained recently and the cavity by my left foot filled up with water again , if I stick my hand in there the water is about up to my wrist , have to suck it out with a vacuum.
