Not sure I can add a picture of how I did it, but really cheap insurance is to use two or three stainless steel plumbing pipe clamps tighterned around where the hole/damage was. This should make it last indefinitely. I did it while the patch was setting up so it became really embedded but afterwards should still provide the same protection. Just an idea and as I said about ten bucks at the most.
@mpt.yt4
@mpt.yt4 24 күн бұрын
Funny you say that-the patch only ended up lasting about four months. I decided to go that route and used a few pipe clamps&sheet metal from a $12 autozone kit. It’s been on there for about 6 months without an issue!

@@mpt.yt4, OK you wanna change the timing chain tensioner. There are to of them. You want to prime them vote them with oil and then install them. You also want to make sure they are Ford parts. Not Amazon , the springs in the wear out. Actually, that should be replaced every 50,000. One bolt 10 by the thermostat, and the other one is up underneath the passenger side fender wall. I believe it’s a 27 mm. Pual went out and push on it. It should be extremely hard to push in. Thank you.

An easy way to get the old fog light out without destroying the old ones is to slip a cable tie over each post. Tighten it enough to push the three tabs in. You can then push the post through the fascia. You ought to be able to reuse the same cable tie on each post.

Wife's 2011 Ford Fusion. Blower motor would quit and then restart . I replaced the blower motor and problem still persisted. Watched your video and when I pulled the blower motor resistor I found the same problem. Burnt plug. I could wiggle the plug and the blower moter would run. Ordered the resistor module and plug pigtail. Your video save me a lot of trouble shooting.

@@mpt.yt4 the older Mercedes Benz (W123 & W126) specifically were built very well. The newer models added complexity in their systems leading to more things to go wrong. (I.e the windows had their own temperature sensor to prevent it from overheating or the power seat has its own module with 3 settings, one for each driver and key). We also had two Camrys both which went to 400k. The common theme is you have to keep up with the maintenance and repair. I don't wait for things to completely wear out (i.e pads or tires) because that causes more damage to other parts.

Watched my 1958 VW Bug roll over to 00,000. It doesnt have a 6th digit. But since for its 1st 800,000 miles it didn't have a gas gauge either, it had a log of gas purchases in the glovebox. Some of those logs got destroyed in flooding in 2005. But I know that it currently has 956,000 miles on it.
