Man, this was when they were at their best, name still stood for Asking For It, starting to get some of the dark tone and sensibility but still the fast hardcore sound.

I actually quit listening to them after this album came out. Miss murder was hokey and mainstream and I was not having it. I might give it another chance someday, perhaps my taste has changed in 18 years

I was there when one member decided to learn how to play guitar. I've loved the memory of his every step of the way. Cotati Caberet, and various gigs around Ukiah, California. I watched their progress, loved every piece they play..... And I never got a goddamned TShirt!! It's all right Jade. I couldn't be more proud of my time with you, Smyth and now Gibson. I choke up at how fortunate we all have been. I have a few titles here. But nothing like what you and G put out. Send me a Tee Shirt!!!!

I remember I listening The Boy Who Destroyed the World on THPS3, it was one of my favorite tracks. Years later I found Miss Murder on Guitar Hero 3 and I was like "Hey I've heard of AFI before" and went online searching for more of their songs. And now after so many years they're still one of the first bands I mention whenever someone asks about my favorites.

2006 (mid 2000's) was pretty cool. I was 10. My world in that year was Resident Evil 4 on PS2, King Kong, PSP, early KZbin, MTV/MTV2 and AFI. I remember their TRL appearances, their Summer Shudder performance at the Spike TV Video Game Aawards, AFI in gold and black outfits performing in Times Square for New Year's Eve, I'd randomly go down memory lane throughout the years trying to find old footage during the Decemberunderground era. Cool times, (pun intended).
