We had minor issues a while ago, but it was because we were doing water landings. Other than that it’s been really smooth!

Why not polish the surface with an angle grinder
@InvertedAviatorsRCКүн бұрын
That was actually a method that came up with our research! We didn’t go with that approach because we don’t own an angle grinder, but it probably would work!
@Siddharthswamy18Күн бұрын
@InvertedAviatorsRC ohhh okay. Also burning the surface with a blow torch also works. Or some sort of a super hot flame. But test it out on a spare / broken pieces to see how it reacts

If you're only worried about the camera getting damaged then you can obviously just skip the plastic altogether and add supports around it to take the brunt of the blow. If you're really adamant about it, however, you could use a mesh screen.

@InvertedAviatorsRC2 күн бұрын
@rohanv2190 I think it would work really well on a helmet visor! Just make sure to let it cure in a dust-free location and you should be good to go!
@InvertedAviatorsRC2 күн бұрын
@colinm990 I’d be careful with goggles, because sometimes they come with a protective coating on the lenses. I fear that the floor shine might look smeary with the already protective coat

@InvertedAviatorsRC9 күн бұрын
Ah I’m not familiar with “Spekjunk”, but I do know that Spektrum transmitters are super solid and we use them to fly all of our UMX planes. While I do love open source transmitters, it is also possible to love something without spreading hate towards other things in this hobby

@InvertedAviatorsRC9 күн бұрын
Sorry I don’t know what you mean, I just checked with EFlites website and it looks like it’s in correctly. It also folds into the plane and looks like it should. Is there something wrong with the wiring?
@Mikeylikesit19689 күн бұрын
On the flaps , all you need to do is angle the bottom half , so when the flap is up its smooth with the top wing
@InvertedAviatorsRC9 күн бұрын
You are absolutely correct. The only reason why I rounded the top is because at some point I might try y-leading the flaps to the ailerons. That way I could try full wing ailerons, but if you’re only doing flaps then you are absolutely correct

@@InvertedAviatorsRC Emm yes, but I quest about the receiver on the left top corner at 23:25. Do you remember its name?
@InvertedAviatorsRC10 күн бұрын
Oh my apologies, the receiver in the video is an AR620 (amzn.to/3OdQesH), but you can also use any receiver that has standard servo ports. For example, I have a different plane where I connected it to a Radiomaster ER6 (amzn.to/3OjNslv). Just make sure the receiver protocol matches with your transmitter, and you'll be good to go!

it is a nice plane plane but very fragile
@InvertedAviatorsRC13 күн бұрын
I'll have to push back a little bit. We've had this plane for a really long time and we crash all the time. The last thing I would call this plane is fragile because all you need is a little hot glue and a toothpick and she'll get right back into the air

Apparently for the development version revision 2 the pins are fixed and more people were using d3. A micro switch fits nicely across d3 and gnd in the popular cases. Details on GitHub Re: [dlktdr/HeadTracker] Center button not working BLE Rev 2 board (Issue #186)
@spudubikeuk238119 күн бұрын

BRILLIANT VIDEO - built one and it works fine ECEPT for the centre button. The button is tested and correctly soldered to the board as per the instructions. Should it centre when connected to the pc via usb using the button? Any help appreciated.
@InvertedAviatorsRC20 күн бұрын
Thank you! And yes it should center when connected to the pc. Just to double check, if you connect the button to a multimeter in continuity mode, and touch the ends to each end you connected the button to, does the multimeter beep? It also might be easiest to join the discord and send a video of the issue so I can troubleshoot more
@spudubikeuk238120 күн бұрын
@@InvertedAviatorsRC Thanks for your quick reply. The continuity is correct so no contact as standard - full continuity when pressed at the board so wiring is good.

Ok perfect. And just to make sure, are you soldering the wires to the correct pads on the board, and are no pads touching?

My radio doesn't give me the custom scripts screen. I have a Jumper t20 elrs radio. Is there possibly another way to execute the lua?

Telling from "full-adjustable -airfoils" -skydive -parachutes: slowest "functional flight speed" gives lowest sink/time -rate for airfoil = longest flight time (anyhow lowering speed to stall level do not give benefit but worse). Balance between flaps and elevator offer improvements to fly slow => find settings for to slow as possible flight BUT then fly it anyway comfortable speed no stall features. If looking longest flight-distance needed to concider as well for drag -together with sink/time -rate = sink/distance -rate. Speed is worse causing just pure drag while flaps and elevators as well lift and so: fly slow withouth causing "stall -drag" is the point when looking best sink/distance -rate. You should proceed next test different static elevator -trims and flap -trims to compare which takes you longest at glide - waiting on that.
