They been saying this 20 years lad and its still the same. What needs nipping in the bud is the bullying culture with managers in the NHS.

UK has become much worse than the third world country, where atleast doctors see the patients while in UK I heard that Physician Assistants do the consultation and procedures. If you stay quiet still, be sure that NHS is a lost battle. It’s you who fight for it, don’t believe that some person will come and make it better ….that’s not possible TBH. U shd fight for everything, u r paying money for healthcare, u have every right to ask for better services and make sure govt rolls out services which u want instead of services which they want.

The UK healthcare system is simple indeed - here is a better explanation: 1) UK Public healthcare - NHS: a communist system, made of British processes, involving useless GPs as well as some useful EU specialists who cannot treat patients due to the British processes and GPs. If you're sick, please escape. 2) UK Private healthcare: a capitalist system, made of British processes, involving useless GPs as well as some useful EU specialists who can sometimes treat patients if processes allow and if patients have a lot of money. If you're sick, please escape. So if you're based in UK, then your UK Healthcare System is to get a GP in Belgium, visit specialists in Belgium, get a health insurance in the EU, a dentist in Spain or Poland. Faster, good, cheap healthcare.

When I was in the UK twenty years ago, my husband was hospitalized in Edinburgh due to Crohn's. He got amazing treatment. Flash forward to 2024. We brought our son to the UK for his first visit. I fell and broke my fifth metatarsal and cuboid. St. Mary's not only missed the cuboid fracture, they refused to look at my $10+ million all inclusive insurance and told me there was nothing they could do. They wouldn't even let me pay for a walking boot and crutches and submit the bills myself for reimbursement. They provided no assistance for finding a doctor I could see and I spent 15 days walking on that broken foot. Neither fracture healed (I have osteonecrosis) and I had surgery in October. Now it seems my foot may have deformed in the time it took to finally get it fixed back in Canada. Is this normal for the NHS? Can a doctor really tell a patient it doesn't matter how much insurance they have?

in the NHS healthcare is free for all so we don’t have health insurance

I've been in the NHS since 2001 and your analysis is entirely accurate. But I don't think it's fixable this time. The money isn't there. Our national debt:GDP ratio never recovered from 2009.

Im meant to be having surgery tomorrow because my graft has broken. Ive also been told it may be cancelled. Im going to show up just in case because i refuse to have it on my record that i chose to cancel. Im desperate, its mental torture. Ive lost money cancelling all my clients for this op, so im praying it goes ahead tomorrow. Its criminal that its not been declared a national emergency.

If Britain can introduce the NHS straight after a 7 year war ....... why couldn't they (the Tories) run it properly when they were in power, no setup fees required. The Tories are not good money managers. They wasted far too much on Brexit.

Fine words butter no parsnips. It sounds like the sort of thing Starmer or Kamala Harris say in their speeches when they want to sound good but not say anything substantive. This sort of airy-fairy waffle may even work against people trying to do a good job. Give an organisation full of bureaucrats vague targets, goals, aims, missions and milestones couched in these meaningless terms and they'll be able to spend a fortune, achieve nothing and still earn big bonuses.

There is not a shortage of GPs. Lots of locums cannot find work currently and this has been going on for a while. The funding is being funnelled to fund other professionals (ACP ANP pharmacist) so that they see patients now and there is leas money for GPs. Many GP partners are keen to have as much of the profit for themselves. There aren’t enough APPOINTMENTS, but there are plenty of GPs. NHS is losing this GP.

Hi, I just want to say a huuuuuuge thank you for this video and the NHS hot topics video. I used these vids to do some last min prep for my mock med interviews and i must say that i used a lot of answers from these videos. Istg if i had to do the same questions without these vidoes i wouldve failed miserably. I did so well in this mock one today because of you. You’ve got a loyal fan now and I will definitely stick with your vidoes for my real interviews if i get any❤❤

Manage to get 1 since the Covid lockdown. My GP’s Practice Will only take calls on the day. If you can’t get one on the day you just have to start again the next day. The very fact we employ 2 out of 3 foreign trained GPs proves are education system has failed.
