Re: people who've actually been traumatised (with ptsd and/or cptsd) or suffered a real life consequence for their shitty behaviour (when an immature adult) not getting into online conflict/arguments as much; I think we don't 'go there' when we've had enough recovery and matured to the point where, we truly do empathise with others & where they might be coming from, & realise we don't fucking know what is 'good for them' or what they "should" or "shouldn't" be saying or doing bc we're just another human ("who's wearing socks" -Richard Grannon 🤣) who's just trying to get through life. Imo, much of the online space is dominated by a bunch of emotionally disregulated (going into/living in their limbic/reptilian/emotional brain) children, unable to get out of their immature thinking & back in their rational cognitive brain . As Richard described (if I got it correct?), immature/narcissistic fans/followers have taken a snap-shot/made an avatar of 'perfect' Mark Vincente in their narrow, tiny world-view minds & woe betide him if he deviates from that "picture" /pedestal they've put him on! I really enjoyed this discussion, ty 🙏🏼❤️

Yes but as you say there's only so much any of us can take before giving 'em back a taste of their own blood as they saying goes. A lot of bullies and online trolls don"t back down until they get a knock out verbal punch back, either. Jackhammer politics has been here since the start. Then you've got the Elon Mucks trolling themselves they're so desperate for verbal bloodsport.

the problem with Hancock is not the idea of previous civilisations. at all. it is the type and level of the technology that he insists exists despite clear ecidence in ice cores and mineral deposits from the time that clearly contradict what should be found if those exact technologies were present.

This is interesting. When there is no risk of retaliation or punishment people behave in a very uncivilised way - so people behave badly online because there are few negative consequences. Yet recently there have been serious consequences for British people - a 53 year old woman with no criminal record - not a menace to society in any way - sole carer for her disabled husband - wrote something awful on Facebook - namely "They should lock all the adults in the mosque and burn it down". This was in response to the horrific butchering of three little girls at a dance party in Southport. At the time people assumed the murderer was a Muslim immigrant. About ten minutes later she thought better of her comment and deleted it. Too late. Someone had reported her to the police for her comment. In light of the rioting that ensued after the deaths of these children many people have been imprisoned purely for what they wrote on social media including this poor 53 year old woman. So the British government is attempting to police social media with prison sentences for posting 'hateful' comments. In other words they are trying to create real world consequences for online comments. Many people think this is a violation of freedom of speech. I think imprisoning that poor woman for a Facebook post that she thought better of and deleted is a massive injustice and overreaction.

I think if you must deal with a sociopath or a psychopath, though those are broad generalizations anyway, you are better off if they're also narcissistic as narcissism at least puts the brakes on here and there. Narcissism alone has certain fields where its harmless. Business is not one, nor is government.

Gentlemen, beyond glad to find you. Thank you both for being you. I have quite a complex background, online and off but…maybe better just to do me here. You can judge for yourselves. So…..an idea, start normalizing a standard of asking questions..even silly ones. The people who are afraid of contrary ideas is biologically based…you are pulling on their established thinking, which is actually a brain network that is large and well established and their body is producing new connections, which can both hurt and be tiring. Yes, hurt…emotionally because you brain is moving chemicals and creating energy where it isn’t normally going. You can tire extremists out but it takes time for the old networks to shrivel. To start really moving someone open their thinking to questions being a good normal thing…,”I wonder ……. ( if it really reach temperature X today like I heard on the weather, or what I might make for meal x tonight/tomorrow/whenever, or should we use road x or y to get to). The I wonder phrase matters. BTW….quantum is theory, stay real. Rogan is a time waster but good for modern online digital watercooler-very much back in the day-conversation. (Rage…look at the biochemistry.)

It’s an interesting take, but it’s not accurate. A lie is a malicious act done with the intention of deceiving. Acting is storytelling. Everyone approaches a film/play/series understanding the premise that what they are seeing is fiction. It is the actor’s craft that allows them to find their truth in someone else words, and in another character’s circumstances. Again, it’s not lying, it’s storytelling n

As a child, you already know that something isn’t right about the surrounding behavior. When you inquire about this behavior as a child-you are “put down” in many ways-some which are terrifying and horrendous. The “put downs” are your classical conditioning- this behavior is “the norm.” You will conform and adapt and keep your mouth shut. As you grow and get stronger, you realize that you are being played like a fiddle. The moment that light bulb goes off-grab that fiddle and play. You will scare the toxic people away. And congratulations, you validated that you were a good kid this whole time!

They rage because their rights and boundaries are regularly trampled and then you get very angry. You can imagine that someone gets angry when you don"t respect their boundaries. Drop a line before the line gets crossed. Be prepared. Firm boundaries. And what are your boundaries? I had weak boundaries and were not strong enough. It can happen unexpected.

A lack of education can come because people dont believe in the school to factory system. Schools should have business speakers come in to tell their stories. Basic money 101 is important for a society. Being very wild and overly domesticated are extremes.

Mark I'm an empath and I feel the pain of the world! I think you could very well be an empath as well. Because of the things you have been through, you can absolutely have empathy for others that may be going through the same thing and that is not bad. You really are in a unique position to show empathy to others.✌️
