@@WozzasSportsCruiserRides Yes it is shaping up to be a real street fighter. I have ordered a new upper fairing from Yamaha and headlight as well. It has a power commander and a yoshimura full stainless steel exhaust. The frame sliders did their job there isn't scratch on the frame, wheels, engine, or body work. I put a new fuel pump, fuel injectors and new battery. It fired right up after 9 years sitting. Oh yeah I cleaned out the gas tank too. I can tell you that this bike is scary fast. No hesitation right off idle it sounds like a moto GP tune. So the previous owner had it professionally tuned. Only 13K miles on the clock!

Both are excellent motorcycles. Personally, I feel like you’re going slightly backwards, technology wise with the FZ. I have a 2023MT 10. I just think the MT has evolved slightly, but still both very nice bikes

Yes, the Fz is raw, no Abs, no traction control, slipper clutch or power mods. It's an entry level bike from 2009. The good thing is they can be remapped, the suspension just needs tuning to your weight and style of riding. The brakes a good. On track the FZ1 is a bit slower down the straight and less drive out of the corners. The MT-10 is coming down in price, the first model is 9 years old. I could easily get a MT-10 again although a adventure bike might be the go for me next. Cheers, Wozza.

Those sport footrests are crap on this bikes. Friend of mine change it because he was scraching the road all the time but original ones are on the spring so they shut when scraching. And then when he installed this sport ones they didn't shut and he was high-sided. And this was his first ride with this footrests. I'm not talking about that specific footrest but for all sport footrest without spring.

Apologies for Wozza but damn the BS coming out of the mouth of that tuner that's being swallowed up... As I mentioned in a comment on the prior video, because of the TPS to ETV mapping a lot of those cells will never be hit be he's pretty casual about saying that he's gone through "all" of them. They have the zeitornix kit (seen from the previous video) and would have used the autotune. So he wouldn't have gone through every cell as claimed. Its likely what was done in the bit between the 2 videos 😞Still it works to get the job done but the effort put in isn't as claimed. He never manually edited each cell. Regardless he did admit that the power gain at 6000 rpm was from the TPS-ETV alterations (literally allowing the throttle to be more open) which is true so kudos there.
@WozzasSportsCruiserRides
@WozzasSportsCruiserRides 8 ай бұрын
Not sure if you ride a motorcycle. The info I've provided help make your motorcycle easier to ride, smoother throttle response and all the other benefits including managing the power delivery better. Older bikes from the 2000 to present really benefit from a detune to a retune. Turning a 2009 Fz1 into a far better bike through custom turning and mapping has worked a treat. Track days, adventures everyday use. 103,000klms and ready for the next track day. It doesn't matter that you say, the info is there to help. Let it go dude, go and make love to your lady or man, it's only info. Wozza.
@MrBCRC
@MrBCRC 8 ай бұрын
10:00 that's not throttle position across the top that's the etv and based on the tps to etv mapping a lot of those cells will never be hit. I love that they don't just apply a map, they only do "custom tuning" followed by admitting that they will be applying a map that they already have from another bike... i.e. they start with a generic map but lets lets face it... that gets them 90% of the way there.
@WozzasSportsCruiserRides
@WozzasSportsCruiserRides 8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if you actually ride a motorcycle, I didn't see any on your KZbin channel. The Question is , does a Ecu tune and custom map help. Yes it does. Mapping and tuning makes a difference, just like tuning your suspension and adding a pipe, a better filter. It all adds up to a better riding experience. This is the information provided.

I really love the FZ1. Cannot decide between the naked or faired version though. I grew up riding nakeds and currently ride a Honda Hornet 919 naked, so I am more used to riding nakeds. But I really love the look of the faired version FZ1S and think the extra wind protection would be great. It does feel funny turning the handle bars while the instruments are fixed and not moving with the handle bars.

You could have your fairing and Fz too! Dads joke's. They're a great, undervalued motorbike with the early r1 engine, detuned ecu up to 5500rpm, then, hold on. Best mod. Woolich Race tune will customise the ecu for best performance all round. There's a video on this on the channel. The suspension and brakes are very good being from the the r1 bike. I had mine tuned for my weight and style or riding, track days. This setting is stiff, however on long rides with ruggage it's awesome. Anyway, go and get one and don't forget to tell us about it. Just had my Fz1, 110,000klm service with new Michelin tyres as a present this week. The Fz1 just chased down a Big Red Kangaroo this morning running across the road. A tuned and serviced FZ-1 on new rudder is a very good bike to have fun on. Check the channel for plenty of info, cheers Mate, Wozza.

I am scared to death of adjusting suspension and so for the first 1000 miles I did nothing with my 2023 MT-10 I simply suffered through the brutally harsh suspension. Finally I was reading a couple of posts claiming if you weigh 160ish llbs (73kg) you woud have to remove ALL the preload on forks and still be short on sag (failed to say if with or without GEAR!) well I in fact Iweigh 165 (75kg) but then over 20 llbs (9kg) of gear so 85kg ish my riding weight , It is hard to do at all alone but I determined yeah there was almost no sag in front so I started cranking back the prelad until I can at least FEEL some sag ...so now it has only two turns of preload in the frint and then to try and balance things I backed off two full turns om the rear shock collars. I also had previously backed off one click front and rear on the rebound after watching a video attempting t show how manually compressed and released suspensin looked with too much rebund okay I test rode and it is soooo much more plush to ride! (btw I only ride the twisties I have another bike for touring so this testig is ALL twists and turns at a goodly clip) I mean I was giving it everything I could as I am wary after making significant changes but it SEEMS like I improved things maybe even for fast pace. The latest thing I notice though doing the push down test it seems like the rear compresses much more readil than the front meaning it appears unbalanced as to preload....idk whether to crank mre preload back into the rear? Or take the last tw remaining turns out from the forks? The forks seem to have a lot of internal friction so I dont know if what I am seeing is real or from that? Like maybe the forks just need to "break in" in more? How long should it take to break in new bike's forks? Oh the last thing I will say is I put a tie wrap on my fork leg and I am using all the travel save for slightly less than an inch? Maybe 23mm for you metric types. Anyone else here have the 22+ MT10 that can corroborate any of my findings? BTW if it turned out I am just barely too heavy for these springs I know what I would do BEFORE paying for new springs! Yep new lithium battery and a Graves exhast would drop close to 20llbs (9kg) which would take me down to 165llbs (5kg) total with gear weight (man leathers boots helmet and gloves are HEAVY!)

The headlight globe died on me a good 5 times. High beaming every bastard felt bad coming back, but what can you do. The left mirror also vibrated itself loose a few times, wobbling around being totally useless. And the slip on yoshimura pipe I paid $1,500 for got nicked whilst bush walking.
