How does the Yamaha FZ-1n compare to a MT-10 on the Road and Track, Review and ride.

I'm finding the FZ-1 from 2009 to be such a lot of bike for what you pay.
It's not got the same power of a MT-10, the raw aggression, the sound of the cross plane, it is however a Yamaha that's an underdog and with modern technology like Woolich racing tools and tunes that where not available in the era it was made can be a real good bike on the road as well as a fun bike for the odd track days you might want to do. Good to hear about the differences, I'm still running my 2016 MT10 and love it. Such a different sound between the two bikes.

The Standard Set up has a detuned ECU under about 4500rpm before it takes off. Woolich have a Tune so I got the ECU custom Woolich tune and then Dyno'd the bike and Power commander that come with it. Very good Throttle response.

Woz, these are awesome bikes & it can do anything you want it to do. I once saw 5 time Daytona 200 Winner Scott Russel do lap times 1 second slower than AMA Superbikes at New Jersey Motorsport Park on a stock FZ1 at 50 yrs old. I once rode an FZ6 & loved it, fast, fun & comfortable. I’m currently riding a Sportster but you have me thinking about looking for an FZ1, here in US you can find one for a very reasonable price

That's what I like to hear. I first got interested in this model after watching Ken Hill Coaching. He was coaching people on track using the FZ1n. The bike comes with 3 Keys, 1 Red Key (Master Key) and 2 Black Keys (Spare Key). The Red Master key is required to duplicate your keys if you lose them, else you you have to change the whole ignition key asembly. Hope you got the Red Master Key.
