Love the van! If I may ask, how much was the entire thing? My wife won't shut up about wanting to live in a van 😂😂
@emandnick5 күн бұрын
@@danielz8125 thank you!!! Well she gets the hype, we have LOVED the two years we’ve spent traveling around in our van! Best decision I’ve ever made. I bought the van from a dealership for 45k with the extended warranty, and put about 30-35k in materials! Which a lot of that was the electrical system, and I went with top of the line Baltic birch lumber for everything so it would be safe against water and moisture (lumber was NOT cheap back in 2023 lol) so all in I probably spent 80ish and it took 5ish months full time working on it by myself! This van is actually for sale right now if you guys are interested 😉

The only problem with the transit is the wet belt system they use. They've been breaking well before Ford recommends a replacement and destroying the engine. And it's not cheap to change the belt.

Planning some bucket list trips and came across you guys, loved the video (Marley's howl sold the sub) would love to know your thoughts on the 200-600mm currently have the 70-200mm and the 2x teleconverter and considering the 200-600mm
@emandnick13 күн бұрын
So glad you found us!! We have the 70-200mm and for most of the stuff we like shooting, that lens + the teleconverter is more than enough than we need!! We LOVED the 200-600mm, but really the only situation we would probably use it for is wildlife, and we just haven’t done enough wildlife photography to justify pulling the trigger and buying it! Especially when there’s places that will rent it for so cheap! Although, I will say after this experience we’re both wanting to do more of the wildlife stuff. Do you do a lot of wildlife photography?!
@TheJamietempest11 күн бұрын
@emandnick wildlife is for fun rather than work so that's why it's a harder decision!
@medor663514 күн бұрын
This is a wonderful video and the footage is really good, knowing the limitations of the A73 when using a telephoto lens with that focal length.
@emandnick13 күн бұрын
Thank you!!! It was a learning experience for sure, we had no idea how much even the tiniest amount of wind would shake the footage. I think there’s probably additional software we could use in post to clean it up a bit too, this was just stabilized in Final Cut. Such a cool experience though, it’s nice to try something new and get out of our comfort zone when it comes to photo/video!

$40 for a whole weekend? That is a really good price!! I definitely would never buy the 2-600, but renting it is another story.
@emandnick15 күн бұрын
Right?! It was $40 and it was a holiday weekend so we got it for 4 days for that price! Such a steal. We said the same thing, we really don’t have a use for that big of a lens other than wildlife every now and then so renting is for sure the way to go!
