Hello Anudeep Sir!! It's been a year since I've watched your videos and trained myself as a UX designer. Hats off to ur teaching that has inspired me every time to push myself cross the limits and raise the bar. Recently, I'm going to be a part of the UX hackathon and I'm preparing myself but at some point I'm lagging , as this is my first ux hackathon. Please provide me your guidance for the same...it would be great if u help me ❤🥹

I had this doubt from a very long time that when you start a project, we are tend to think about the whole process of how the project will be executed right? So, at the beginning should we first define the process of doing the project or should we start doing the project and thinking about the methods one after doing another?

Noooowww it made more sense to me... I fell in love with UX you know... But learning the tool... Is such a pain.. I felt like dammit why am I Expected to do UI also.. but this makes sense to me.. but now I am also a little worried hahahahahah... Because of UI, I am still confident with UX even though I haven't become proficient in that.. nut UI eh.. but my brain says probably this is because I have not practiced UI much.. all I need is a little practice with the tool. You knwo what, nothing in this world is easy... And also nothing is difficult. That's the lesson I have learned.. AFTER switching my career 🙂🤣

ohmy god thank you so much Anudeep, what a valuable info... let me tell you, I have this habit of "perfectionism" so you know when I created my first case study, since it was my first you can very well guess I was in the beginning stage of UX, which I still am, but now at least I created 2 case studies hahahahah, damn only one more in the bucket but even in that transition, I learned many things from my journey, the first case study I got stuck for months man, I did not realize I was trying to create a full fledged complete appliation DAMN, as a Beginner, doing first project, I unknowingly fell in that trap I created myself, you telling that you can start the ux journey from anywhere is exactly what I learned myself from my own mistake, after months everywhere hiring managers asking fro portfolio, I decided to quit on that first case study and start a complete new project. and when I my mind was refreshed I realized what was I trying ti achieve, I tried creating a a theatre snack delievery app trying to solve long queues issues and movie getting missed so the order would be delievered in-seat. and I got stuck from how to create a food app, to the movie ticket issue, like select theatre, and then the resturant, and the snacks, and the ticket details, timings and seat number and all, and then got confused on how to design the screens for each, damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, and I went one step further thunking what would happen in the backedn front, how would the deleievry guy reach the seat in least amount of time, best route. damn! such a heartbreaking and head scratching problem for me, created problem on my own, solved on my own, full of regret. I liked your videos, it's helpful, thanks again!. if you'll read this, can you suggest me name of projects or problem statemnt I should add in my portfolio that can help me get hired from recruiters? Please?

Dude I Cannot tell you portfolio case studies is the only thing why I procrastinated or you can say delayed applying for job, god dammit I wasted so many months because of that and now I am carrying the weight of regret 🥲 I'm trying to forgive myself for the mistakes I have made. I didn't know switching my career would be this complicated and tough. Not the field but the process. I still have a strong interest in it, I still have a strong gut feeling I'll do really good in it but god I'm so stuck. 🙆🏻♀️ But I'll figure outttt also hey! I really really like your videos... I have watched some and I am really interested in watching more... Best wishes for your channel, you know your viewers pain point well 😉

My pleasure Manikandan! I’m really happy that you loved this and it is helping you. But I need to admit that nothing is really free out there. Content creation is obviously for lead generation. In my case it’s about mentorship. But yes the approach is to generate very genuine leads who have genuine interest in learning in this unconventional approach!

Anna Garu Intresting video In my portfolio, I have a small case study that is presented in story mode, explaining a character, what he does, and how he does it. When I presented that case study, a recruiter asked whether I had applied for a designer position or a movie director position. I had awage response, but I didn’t have a proper answer for him. Also, the storytelling method took time to explain, requiring at least 10 minutes to cover simple features of user interaction, usability, overall experience, and how the feature adds value. This left little time to discuss the main decisions, and there wasn't time for stories. The recruiter simply asked for a video link that some junior HR would see and get back to me. What should I do in this situation?, Time matters hai naa.
@adityasshukla4 ай бұрын
You don't need to bore the interviewers with a story. Save it for your portfolio: trim the unnecessary sections, don't go overboard with the "emotions" part, be focused on the core feature you're building/redesigning. As for the interview, ALWAYS make a slide deck. I have learnt it from experience: no articles, no storyboards and definitely no Figma files. Always present a slickly-made deck: filled with insights (not your process), your decisions (not tons of explorations), the screens, the impact and your learnings. Keep it crisp within 10 minutes. That doesn't mean you don't do the stuff yourself. Just don't present everything you do, but be prepared to discuss it with your interviewer in the time remaining. Good luck!

Such an amazing video Anudeep 🤩.. very different from all the videos I have watched so far on youtube for case studies, which made me feel more overwhelmed.. so I procrastinated writing case studies until now.. I always had this doubt about how to make my case study standout for the recruiters.. the points you mentioned sound very doable, straightforward and actually make our case studies so much more interesting adding personal touch to it.
