Displacer-kitty ❤ I had a litter of those in a recent game, they were troubled by some ghouls. The heroes were recovering a merchant lord's exotic cat that had been disappearing, but it had bred with a rival lord's pet lion.

I’d love to see the build for these traps! BTW the display cases on far L & R could also be part of this as a scaling element. Perhaps if the main Bone Pillar is physically destroyed, those two are charged by the necrotic energies released. Since only semi-complete, they don’t have all the same properties, but the each get part of the original’s abilities.

One idea that mixes the second and the last would be that there is a statue gallery that was originally empty as there was nothing there as it was just a gallery that had various background only. During the day it just a normal gallery that anyone can enter into for free and stay in there as long as they like. However the only one rule about the gallery and that is to be no visitors during non business hours which is considered sun down to sun rise. The doors close after sun set and whoever is still inside in the gallery is stuck inside the gallery at that point. This is where the statues of the gallery eventually come from as the gallery displays are normal during the day however they are actually pocket dimensions that are active only at night. There is no evil or malicious intent to this pocket dimension as those that have stay beyond the gallery's opening hours will be draw to the display that caught their eye the most where they would enter into the display pocket dimension where they then match what the background is. Fantasy display would cause them to become whatever fantasy race they have the most interest in. medieval display would cause them to become someone from medieval times that they have the most interest in. The overall tome of each display is set by the first person that enters a empty gallery with everyone else that following matching their tone. It would not just be their bodies that change but their minds would be affected to only have memories of the whatever the display is only. While the pull and effect of being within this pocket dimension is strong if they can resist willingly leave the display before sun rise they can leave the gallery though once they exit out the display they lose all their memories of what happened only recalling being at the display all night. However those that either can not resist the affect of the display or do not leave the display before sun rise are turned to in statue thus are now a permanently a part of the display only coming to live at night when the pocket dimension is active for then on. The gallery does not have to worry about thieves or theft as all those that attempt to do so will either leave empty handed or rather then do the stealing. The would be the one stolen by the gallery itself as they would permanently become part of a display as one of its statues

Dragon Stew for monster cooking rules. (I really like the Druid subclass as well) Jet7 Legendary Dragons. By far the most useful DM screen I've found anywhere. And the book is about 9 super powerful dragons able to be inserted in all kinds of games. Also the DragonRider class is far more balanced than it has any right to be.

fun trap, with risk. could see this at a carnival. They offer potions to remove the petrification, but they are costly, or have to promise to do a deed or task.

Sometimes with these treasure chests and locks I wonder why. It's a trope so that's really why, but if I had some gold or gems and I wanted to put them someplace safe I would want to be able to get to them, but not let others. I would say that when you tried to pick up the illusionary key, the false chest disappears and the real one becomes comes into being. It would take two people to open the chest. One to grab the illusionary key and then one to use the skeleton key in the real chest. I would also make each keyhole in the false chest do something different, but that at least one or two of the keys opens the chest to give you some gold and gems as a false reward. I would also put something serious in the chest. If they go through all this work and it's just a collection of copper pieces, then I think players will know these puzzles aren't work the work.

Love it! Add a rod half sticking out of one of the barrels (that registers as magical via Detect Magic), and removing that rod from the barrel causes a red bullfighting flag to appear on the rod, which also affects the gorgon.

This sounds like a fun trap, i'm not sure if it a trap, technically a trap if the players interacts it. Questions what happen if the pc uses sovereign glue to stick on the back of the gorgon or some very creative uses to stay on it

Playtested! I ran this trap twice in a Basic D&D / BECMI game at the Founders & Legends convention in 2024. Both times, the players' curiosity triggered the trap resulting in some fun, memorable moments.
