The fan interference prevented Mr. Baseball #6 from catching the ball, the batter should have been out.

When he finally got a legitimate opportunity near the end of his career in the NFL he was great. If he had been born a decade or two later I think he could have been an NFL Hall of Famer.

I have been a Yankee fan since 1957. But when you see opposing players of Yaz's statis you can't help but admire them. One of my favorite players of all time. Thanks for all the memories Yaz!

In their 8 historic playoff matchups, this was the only series in which Russell averaged 20 points a game and this was arguably his greatest defensive playoff performance against Chamberlain. It's important to note that Chamberlain was also a defensive beast in this series for he held Russell to a lowly .398 percent from the field, he blocked 14 shots (e.g., Philly Daily News) in Game 7 of the series and in this same game, he scored the Warriors last 5 points to tie the game at 107. Sam Jones subsequently won the game with a 20 foot jump shot with 2 seconds left on the clock.

Notice how the crowd is dressed nice in their normal every day street clothes, and not baseball jerseys and caps. Players don't have tattoos and gold chains around their necks.

I was at Fenway for Yaz' last game in 1983. Something I will NEVER forget! There was more 'electricity' in the air, and in the crowd than I have ever seen or heard in my 65 years as a Red Sox Fan.

Is it possible Luis didn't want to have that 3,000th hit to come off him, at his old stadium?

It was back in 1957 when I was stationed at Fort Totten NY - went to see the Yankees play - Mickey Mantle hit a home run that hit the roof facade in Yankee Stadium - the next day in the paper they show how far the ball would have went if it didn't hit the roof - the ball would have landed in the parking lot

great era for me as a kid... a big willie mays and giants fan.. loved those white sox red pin stripes, rare interview with bill melton. dick allen would win the home run title the next year and '74, rare power from the white sox. hank aaron would lead the national league in homers with 47, his best year and at the age of 37. the powerhouse oakland a's would win 101 games but lose to the orioles, then reel off 3 straight world series wins.

Luis isn't wearing the "pinstripes" of the Yankees because the Yankees don't wear their pinstripes for away games. Home uniform.

Yaz was mine as well, grew up playing youth baseball mid 70's through early 80's and was a lefty as well. Yaz will àllways be my favorite Red Sox player from my youth. Along with Rice, Evans, Lynn and Pudge.

In the special that NFL Network did about his life, Pearson said that just before they broke the huddle, Staubach said, “Drew, I’m going to *you* all the way!” I went to Tulsa U in the 80s and my family moved to the area in ‘73, so I missed seeing him play there, but I saw Steve Largent light the place up for the following 2 years and that was amazing.

Weird. I don't remember this at all. I was 10 at the time, but there's no way I'd have missed this game. It must have been boring, because I normally stayed up until at least the third quarter. Especially between two really good teams. ......... Ok now that I see the halftime score and stats, I must have gone to bed at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Turned out to be a good contest. Thanks for uploading this.

Yaz with the unique stance, with the bat held high and at an angle. Tiant with that crazy wind up where he twists himself and faces the outfield.

Blake Edwards always manages to squeeze in some homoerotic moments into all his films, and Tony Curtis doesn't disappoint in swashing his buckle at us in the rescue.
