I used to do it the same way you're doing it. Until I learned it from a seasoned mechanic, And that was having the car on the lift. Next place a tall jack stand under the rear of the control arm. Slowly lower car onto stand and carefully remove rear control arm bolts and carefully raise car and remove spring.Much better than using a hammer and pry for front removal.

Paint was ok, but starting to pit so its been stripped and primed. Had it about 5yrs now. Didnt have its 1st ding until I got it. Now it has a small door ding, and a bend in front fender. Ordered bumper ext just now for it. Cant wait to get it going.

Crazy just seeing this channel and by 2nd video I hear my big traction control idea. Ive thought for a long time, that if you swap to blazer brakes, why couldn't you just use the OEM tone wheels in them. Most efi set ups should allow some sort of traction control. Blazer tone wheels and trans speed sensor. Drive shaft sensor is probably a tad more solid info sense it won't matter what the trans is doing but either should work. Time to buckle down and get my Great Value grand national on the road asap.
@BOURBONANDBOOST5 ай бұрын
It absolutely can be done. You do have to have a little sensor in line to make it work but it will work. We have actually been to busy to hook mine up yet but from other cats my buddy Steve has wired we know it works good

I'm betting it's a voltage issue. A lot of transbrake solenoids need a minimum 14 volts. 12 volt system can usually do it, but it's always iffy. Make sure wiring is up to snuff. I build racing th400s and have seen this issue before. Be best to go to a 14 volt battery system or even 16 volt. Especially if you're only racing it and go to alcohol and smart coils.
@BOURBONANDBOOST5 ай бұрын
I don't disagree with voltage issue with all the wiring issues we have found on the car. Right now it's getting a complete rewire including trans wiring, refresh on trans with new brake and internal dumb. We are go na try to get the car up to the standards that we perfer
@funfun80955 ай бұрын

You need wheel speed, off the line, with a big tire. You don't want to dead hook it. That's why a really tight track makes it harder. Need more power off the hit.
