FIXING G-BODY QUARTER PANEL BUCKLE

So after many years we finally are pulling hard enough we buckled my quarter panel on the Monte Carlo. Now we have a really good cage in the car, so don't think it was just because it had no cage. It comes down to the car is heavy and we are getting the 60 foots down lower now. If you are in any g body and getting a good 60ft and have no cage or not enough cage this could happen to you.
So after doing some research and talking to some cage builders we decided this was the best way to fix my issue. Now i know some people are going to argue with me but from my experience and others that talked to us this is a good way that should fix the issue. We did run the car after and it seems to have already helped a lot.
Thank to the master Steve from Ampd Motorsports Soultions and Alvey tuned for helping and pretty much installing my bars completely. This was a long process because the fact we had to tig the bars in.

Crazy just seeing this channel and by 2nd video I hear my big traction control idea. Ive thought for a long time, that if you swap to blazer brakes, why couldn't you just use the OEM tone wheels in them. Most efi set ups should allow some sort of traction control. Blazer tone wheels and trans speed sensor. Drive shaft sensor is probably a tad more solid info sense it won't matter what the trans is doing but either should work. Time to buckle down and get my Great Value grand national on the road asap.

It absolutely can be done. You do have to have a little sensor in line to make it work but it will work. We have actually been to busy to hook mine up yet but from other cats my buddy Steve has wired we know it works good

Looks like you did a roll cage too. My question is, did you box the chassis out ? and reinforce around the rear axle after you cut the chassis back for slicks ?

So far it has but I also left a bottle shoved in there just to make sure

A custom full frame would probably be better but a lot more expensive

A custom full frame kits you out of alot of racing events

@@BOURBONANDBOOST I’m not saying a tube frame, they have one that fits like a normal car frame, might have to cut a little to get it to fit but you wouldn’t notice specifically it was custom unless you got underneath the car, places like Roadster Shop make them, they cost massive money though
