Why didn’t you put any window openings in? It’s going to be dark in there and no cross venting for air

I like what you did with this mailbox. This is something I'd like to do myself with my driveway but a package mailbox on one side and just a pillar on the other side and then screw solar lights on the top base. Then fence off the front yard with hedges just to keep dogs, kids and the mailman from driving over my popup sprinklers. Other than that you did a great job for a one man crew mate.

Wouldn't be allowed in UK as you don't own the grass verge on sidewalk in front of your house. Plus road safety issues too with obstruction. But looks great.

Curious to know the total cost of this project. We may need to construct a retaining wall at the beck edge of our yard, in Winston-Salem, that backs up to a flood zone, with known flooding over the past 50 years. Three times in 50 years the basement has ended up with up to a foot of water. The goal of a retaining wall, keep the water from flowing into our backyard, so it continues to move downstream, in-channel (of the creek). Going to guess we are looking at a 50 foot long wall. Probably does not have to be more than two feet high.

2:37 Have you had to replace the vertical hydraulic line where the cab is rubbing on it? About mid-way up the hose.

Awesome work. Can you explain how this works? Does water enter the stone from the house and then leave from the grate? Or does all the water drain to the grate and then filter out into the stone?

I am not a contractor. I am just wondering why there was no footing poured? Is it because of the sheer weight of these? How deep of a trench was dug and what exactly was it filled that it's sitting on? Thanks people.

I think he's wrong, I believe in Massachusetts anything 700 sq. Ft. And more needs a full foundation, I believe I should be able to do a slab style foundation for 576 square. Ft . i don't understood drain concept? How will water drain exactly through those pipes. Do we need drain if we are planning patio on the top (such a way that water never soaks underneath)?
